NFL Week 7 DFS Full Slate

New York Giants Wide Receiver Malik Nabers

NFL DFS Week 7 is upon us. Each week, we spotlight some core plays to help you build a winning weekly DFS lineup on Fanduel and DraftKings. In building a successful lineup, we research and find positional values to see where you can save money and players with projected low ownership who can pay 2x-2.5x of their listed DFS salary.

You bank on getting a minimum of 20 points from the quarterback position, you can not miss this position. Expect to pay up at the tight end, you can save at other spots. A successful strategy can be the QB-TE stack. These core plays will give you a nucleus for your DFS build.

Perhaps most importantly, you don’t need me to tell you to use Josh Allen or Justin Jefferson in your Week 7 builds. These recommendations are designed to give players we feel will be low-owned, value-priced if possible, and give you a unique DFS build. We want a DFS line-up different from the masses and most likely made with an optimizer. Look for single or smaller-sized slates to build your DFS bankroll. It is not statistically sound to expect to hit the Sunday million jackpot regularly.

DFS Start ‘Ems

Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.

Sam Darnold ($6.2k DraftKings and $7.5k Fanduel)

In week 7, Sam Darnold gets the pass funnel Detriot Lions defense that is ranked 28th against the pass and middle of the road in points allowed to the quarterback position. Darnold is still fourth in the league with 11 touchdown passes despite having played one less game than the league leaders. Darnold has the potential to go lesser owned in a slate with Allen, Stroud, Daniels, and Love.

Chase Brown ($5.9k DraftKings and $6.5k Fanduel)

We are paying up at quarterback and wide receiver with two of our core DFS starts, so we need to save some money at the running back position. Chase Brown is a nice DFS option at his cost, in the last three games Brown has averaged 15 touches, 16.83 fantasy points, and four touchdowns. To put that stretch in perspective that would be RB5 right now.

Malik Nabers ($7.5k DraftKings and $8.3k Fanduel)

We are expecting Malik Nabers to return this week and he gets an Eagles defense ranked 27th in points allowed to the wide receiver position. Nabors is a target hound with 52 in four games and is WR1o even though he missed the past two games. Easy choice for us and hoping he might go a tad under the radar with Jefferson, Chase, and a slew of other big-time wideouts on the week 7 main slate.

DFS Sit ‘Ems

DFS
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (8) calls a play against the Tennessee Titans during their game at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we recommend sitting in this one.

Aaron Rodgers ($5.7k DraftKings and $6.9k Fanduel)

In week 7, Rodgers gets the Steeler’s pass defense ranked in the top half of the league against the pass and fifth in fantasy points allowed to the quarterback position. Rodgers sits at QB20 and the Steeler’s defense is tenth in quarterback hits, tied for fourth in interceptions, and fifth in defensive fantasy scoring. There are much better QB DFS options on the slate.

Ty Chandler ($6.4k DraftKings and $5.6k Fanduel)

Chandler looks most likely to draw the start in week 7, with Aaron Jones still not practicing as of Wednesday’s report, but it is a brutal matchup. The Lion’s defense is third against the run and fantasy points allowed to the running back position. As we stated above the Lions are a pass-funnel defense and last week held down the Dallas backs to 42 yards, 3.55 yards per attempt, and zero touchdowns.

George Pickens ($5.8k DraftKings and $6k Fanduel)

Pickens will draw a difficult assignment this week on two fronts. The Jet’s second-ranked pass defense and Pickens will most likely draw Sauce Gardner in coverage. Pittsburgh’s pass offense is ranked 26th in the league and now it appears Russell Wilson may be under center this week. There are too many negatives to recommend Pickens in DFS Week 7.

Total Apex Stud of the Week

Jordan Love ($6.9k DraftKings and $8.7k Fanduel)

Jordan Love gets a nice spot against the Texan’s defense ranked 2oth in quarterback points allowed. In Love’s four games, he has averaged 23.78 FanDuel fantasy points which would be good for QB2 right now. The Texans-Packers implied game total is top five on the slate and Love’s DFS salary is the third highest on FanDuel just behind Allen and Hurts and hopes he may go a tad under-owned.

Total Apex Dud of the Week

Anthony Richardson ($6k DraftKings and $7.4k Fanduel)

Anthony Richardson was again inactive last week with a hip injury, however, Shane Steichen is expecting Richardson to log a full practice on Wednesday. We have been fading Richardson regularly in DFS this season as he gets the Richardson sits QB30 this year, barely completes 50% of his passes, and has only 3 touchdown passes.

His DFS salary has dropped $13k since last week, which tells you what the books think of him as well. On another note, if you possess shares of Indianapolis’ skill position players, pray for Joe Flacco under center.

Stack of the Week

Recommended Stacks: Jayden Daniels-Terry McLaurin/ CJ Stroud- Stefon Diggs/ Sam Darnold- Justin Jefferson/ Jordan Love-Christian Watson

Additional Starts: Baker Mayfield, CJ Stroud, Brian Robinson, Tony Pollard, Christian Watson, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Brock Bowers and Dalton Schultz

Additional Sits: Russell Wilson, Najee Harris, Michael Pittman, and Calvin Ridley

Conclusion

Each week in DFS your payline for FanDuel is approximately 125 points, which is 2x per player. For example, a player with a $4500 salary needs 9 points. DraftKings pay line is approximately 134 points, which is 2.5x per player. So for a $4500 salary, that player would need 9.9 points. We also want a DFS lineup unique to the masses. You want players that are projected for low ownership.
