These two franchises are going in two completely different directions. The Jazz are one of the bottom feeders of the NBA who would love to be in the Cooper Flagg situation by the time the 2025 NBA draft comes around. The Knicks on the other hand are looking to take the next step from a great 2023-24 season. The Jazz are coming in on a four-game losing streak while the Knicks are coming on a four-game winning streak. With that being said, it makes it tougher to figure out who will get the guaranteed minutes in a game like this.
Knicks at Jazz DFS Start’em
Knicks G Mikal Bridges($7,000 on DraftKings)
The big new acquisition from the Brooklyn Nets has been a good find for the Knicks. What makes Bridges a really good fantasy piece is he loves to fill out that stat sheet. He and Josh Hart are the two most complete players on the Knicks. They both get steals, blocks, and rebounds on a consistent basis. But what Bridges offers more than Hart is scoring. Bridges has great overall value across the board which makes him an easy start for today’s game.
Jazz G Keyonte George($6,600 on DraftKings)
George has become one of the better younger players in the league. His inconsistent scoring has been a problem this season but he has added a new element to his game and that is passing. His assists totals have been going up for the last couple of weeks, which adds to nearly 20 points a night. If the Jazz want to hang in this one, George having a good game is a necessity. Especially at a value below $7,o00, this is the best value pick for this game.
Knicks at Jazz DFS Sit’em
Knicks F O.G. Anunoby($7,400 on DraftKings)
There is no question that the Knicks win when Anunoby is playing. The team usually struggles in all aspects when he is out but that doesn’t mean that he is a great fantasy start. The former Toronto Raptor has struggled over his last two games which makes this a way too high evaluation by DraftKings. If he was below $7,000, I would have told you to start him. When you do DFS, recency bias matters, and it hasn’t been good for Anunoby lately which means to sit him.
Jazz G Jordan Clarkson($6,400 on DraftKings)
The former sixth man of the year has had the injury bug lately for the Jazz. When he played, he was easily one of Utah’s best two or three players. But he doesn’t add anything defensively or even with rebounds and assists. That makes him heavily scoring-dependent for fantasy. With him coming off missing a game and injury, it becomes a risky pick if Clarkson has some rust. The Knicks have great defensive guards which makes this a brutal get-right game for Clarkson.
Conclusion
To wrap things up, while many will expect a Knicks win in blowout style. The Knicks win part should be accurate but the Jazz are a competitive bad team. They usually only lose by single digits which means that most of the top players in this game will be playing the majority of the minutes. The Jazz are a deep enough young team to hang in games while the Knicks have the more win-now talent to put them away. This makes it easier for DFS players as this should not be a game that ends in a blowout. There are tons of fantasy points on the table which makes this one of the more exciting games on Saturday.
