Cardinals at Seahawks Start Em’ Sit Em’ Week 12 DFS

seahawks

Both the Cardinals and Seahawks face off in Week 12 in a battle over NFC West supremacy. This is a good matchup for DFS players to target because both offenses have good-skill players and they will likely have to play hard to keep up with each other. Each team has been seen playing good football recently with the Seahawks upsetting the 49ers while Arizona beat New York before the bye.

James Conner (Draft Kings Price $6.5K, FanDuel Price $7.7K)

Conner is set up really well here because of the potential rain. The Cardinals should be keeping the ball on the ground with the looming weather, which means more carries for Conner. The Seahawks can give up lots of points as well, so if that’s going to happen in this matchup, it will likely come from the run game. James Conner could be a solid option in the red zone as well; he scored a touchdown in two of his last three games.

Trey McBride (Draft Kings Price $5.6K, FanDuel Price $6.7K)

There are three big reasons to start Trey McBride. First of all, quality tight ends are rare this season, so players should only target tight ends that are guaranteed at least 10 points a week. Secondly, they are expecting rain on Sunday, which means Murray will need to throw shorter passes, which is the perfect range for McBride. Finally, he simply has been balling on the field; he went for 71 yards in the game against the New York Jets previously.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Draft Kings Price $6.3K, FanDuel Price $7.5K)

Smith-Njigba has quietly performed in the top 15 for wide receivers in the past two games, one of which was a 180-yard route of the Los Angeles Rams. Even if the rain makes both teams pass less, Smith-Njigba should still get some quality looks from Geno Smith. The more he plays, the more trust he earns in this offense that gave him 24 targets in the past two games.

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks Sit Em’

Tyler Lockett (Draft Kings Price $4.8K, FanDuel Price $5.8K)

At one point, Lockett was considered one of the premier pass catchers in the league. Unfortunately, his numbers have taken a nosedive this season. Over the past five games, Lockett hasn’t gained more than 65 yards. These numbers won’t get better in a rainy day game when Smith is targeting Metcalf and Smith-Njigba more often.

Michael Wilson (Draft Kings Price $4.4K, FanDuel Price $5.2K)

Although Wilson gets a decent target share, he is clearly the third fiddle in the passing game behind Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr. Wilson hasn’t cleared the 31-yard mark in his past five games, and some of those games were very high-scoring for the Cardinals. Therefore, it’s hard to expect Wilson to have a comeback game in a matchup that they need to win for playoff implications

A.J. Barner (Draft Kings Price $3.2K, FanDuel Price $4.9K)

The cheap tight end can be tempting to some DFS players, but there may be better options than A.J. Barner out there. Barner doesn’t normally get that many targets outside of the OT game against the Rams, where he got 7 targets. At that rate, he won’t have the opportunities he needs to break out, and there is also more competition at tight end on the Seahawks with Pharaoh Brown and the newly added N’Keal Harry.

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks Lock

DK Metcalf (Draft Kings Price $6.6K, FanDuel Price $7.9K)

Metcalf is simply one of the most consistent wide receivers in the league. He may not always be the top performer, but he rarely gets under 50 yards. In his previous matchup against the 49ers, Metcalf went for 70 yards without finding the endzone, making him one of few receivers that are not touchdown-dependent. That makes him a start even in a rainy-day game like this one will likely be.

Arizona Cardinal at Seattle Seahawks Fade

Zach Charbonnet (Draft Kings Price $4.3K, FanDuel Price $5.3K)

Charbonnet has the unfortunate job of competing over snaps with Kenneth Walker III, who is having a phenomenal season. He can still have a good game here and there, but he needs a touchdown to do that because he won’t get enough carries to score well just on his yardage alone. Charbonnet has rushed for single-digit yardage in the last three games, so he isn’t really worth a start in Week 12.
