Fantasy Football Week 7 Recap: Quarterbacks Shined

It´s astonishing to think that the NFL season is at Week 7, which means we´re close to the season´s halfway point. Now, it’s becoming clear which teams are for real and which are not. While some players are thriving beyond expectations, others are just getting started. In this article, we’ll spotlight four players who are making waves and could be valuable additions to your fantasy roster. Let’s get into it!

Drake Maye (QB, New England Patriots)

Drake Maye has emerged as a promising young QB for New England. Even though they´ve lost 2 games and 6 in a row, Maye brings with him some hope due to his high production. Even though he has much to learn, he´s proven he can produce yardage, which is one side of the equation, if he solves the other part (scoring) he might become a top fantasy performer. In Week 7, Maye threw for over 276 yards and 2 touchdowns against a tough Jags defense, demonstrating his potential as a dual-threat quarterback.

Russell Wilson (QB, Pittsburgh Steelers)

Russell Wilson quietly put together a strong performance for the Steelers in Week 7 for Sunday Night Football. Even though the start to the game was rocky, thereafter, the Steelers found some rhythm and were able to capitalize on big plays. Even though he didn´t play at 100%, there were some flashes of 2010’s Wilson, which is always a good thing to see.

Now the starting QB in Pittsburgh, Wilson has the potential to become a solid fantasy performer for your team. In Week 7, Wilson threw for 264 yards and 2 touchdowns, displaying his ability to find the end zone consistently. His connection with receiver George Pickens was noteworthy.

Aaron Rodgers (QB, New York Jets)

Though he faced a tough start to the season, Aaron Rodgers is beginning to find his groove with the New York Jets. As he gets more comfortable in the offense, his leadership and skill set is starting to shine. Additionally, with the arrival of Davante Adams, things are likely to get very interesting in New York. In Week 7, Rodgers didn’t play his best yet still put up solid numbers with over 276 passing yards and 1 touchdown. With weapons like Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall at his disposal, Rodgers could be in line for a strong second half of the season.

Brock Bowers (TE, Las Vegas Raiders)

Although this comes as no surprise, Brock Bowers is quickly establishing himself as one of the most exciting TEs in the league. With his impressive athleticism and playmaking ability, he has become a focal point in the Raiders’ passing game. In Week 7, Bowers caught 10 passes for 93 yards showcasing his leading role in the offense. He could even be a solid ROTY candidate as he´s been a leader in LV.

Final Thoughts

As we head into Week 8, identifying players who are gaining momentum with solid performances could be crucial for securing fantasy victories. Keep an eye on these emerging stars, as they could provide the spark your team needs to elevate its performance in the coming weeks. A few quarterbacks and tight ends showed up in Week 7.
