Fantasy Football Week 2 Surprises: What to Expect Moving Forward
Gardner Minshew (QB, Las Vegas Raiders)
Gardner Minshew played surprisingly well in the Week 2 game against the Ravens. In a game where everyone expected the Ravens to dominate, the Raiders at least gave a fight and even ended up winning the tight contest, and that was largely due to Minshew´s efforts. Minshew took the helm and delivered an impressive performance. He threw for 276 yards and 1 TD, showing he’s more than capable of leading an offense. With that level of production, he exceeded expectations. So keep an eye on the Raiders to be better than what most would expect.
Nico Collins (WR, Houston Texans)
Nico Collins is not exactly an underrated player, however, he is playing as one of the most prolific WRs in the league up to Week 2. In his game against the Bears, He hauled in 8 catches for 135 yards and 1 TD, demonstrating his potential as a top target in Houston’s passing game. Collins should definitely be someone on your radar you will need to closely monitor.
JK Dobbins (RB, LA Chargers)
JK Dobbins played some really solid football in Week 2 against the Panthers. Dobbins rushed for 131 yards and 1 touchdown on 17 carries, averaging over 7.7 YPC (yards per carry). Following his move to LA, he may be making a statement as one of the top RBs in the league if healthy. With the Chargers’ run-heavy approach, Dobbins, shined. Let´s see if he continues to do so.
Brian Robinson (RB, Washington Commanders)
Brian Robinson is another player who is playing some solid football up to Week 2. Going against expectations, and with Ekeler in that backfield, Robinson has balled and produced quite a lot of yardage for the Commanders. He is proving that he has a lot of underrated potential. He carried the ball 17 times for 133 yards, proving he can be a workhorse for the Commanders. Be sure to keep an eye on him for the coming weeks.
