College Career Summary
Bo Nix spent three years at Auburn and never found his footing. His best season was his freshman year, and he barely threw for 2,500 yards. It wasn’t until he got to Oregon that he started to show his elite talent. Whether it was the experience or the coaching, something clicked once he got to Eugene.
2019
Bo Nix played like a freshman in 2019. He only completed 57% of his passes for 2,542 yards. He also had a modest 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. Still, the Tigers went 9-4 that year, and Nix showed promise.
2020
The 2020 season is difficult to evaluate for any player due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The SEC was able to play a lot of games, but Nix’s stats were similar to 2019. He threw for 2,415 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Again, this year is hard to evaluate because of how different practices and games looked.
2021
The Tigers hoped this would be the breakout year for Bo Nix. It didn’t happen. He threw for 2,294 yards and only 11 touchdowns. The once-promising prospect had now turned into a frustrating player. It seemed like both sides needed a change of scenery, and Nix transferred to Oregon.
2022
Something clicked for Bo Nix when he got to Oregon. The Ducks have famously put together some of the best offenses ever, and 2022 was no different. He completed 71% of his passes, which was a ten percent increase from his junior season. This led to a huge increase in his other stats. He threw for 3,593 yards, 29 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Oregon also used his legs, and he ran for 14 touchdowns as well. He would carry this momentum to 2023.
2023
This was the swan song for Nix. He completed 77% of his passes for 4,508 yards, 45 touchdowns, and a career-low three interceptions. The only bad part of the season was the two losses to Washington that kept them out of the College Football Playoff. Despite those losses, it was still an excellent season for the quarterback.

Bo Nix has fantasy value, given his dual-threat nature. His junior year stat line of 29 passing touchdowns and 14 rushing touchdowns should make a fantasy manager salivate. For one-year leagues, it obviously depends on if he wins a starting job. There’s a chance, but it all depends on which team drafts him.
For dynasty leagues, he might be worth a later-round pick. He has shown an ability to develop. If he gets into the right coaching situation, Bo Nix could become a high-level starter in a year or two. Depending on your team’s needs, he is worth a flyer for sure.
