The Memphis Tigers (17-6, 6-4 AAC) host the Tulane Green Wave (13-9, 4-6) for a 2 pm EST matchup. Even though the Tigers are expected to take care of business, Tulane will have other plans. Tulane won their most recent matchup toward the end of January by two points. Will today see a repeat of an upset?

Memphis Tigers vs Tulane Green Wave: How We Got Here
The home team is currently on a two-game winning streak. However, they lost their previous three games Meanwhile, the visitors are off an impressive overtime win against Temple, but before that, they lost three straight. Against Memphis at home, they kept it close and were ultimately able to pull out the win.
Sion James went for a season-high 22 points in their last encounter by going 6 of 12 from the field, including 4 of 8 from three. Kevin Cross chipped in 21 points as well as 7 rebounds and 5 assists. On the other side, David Jones exploded for 32 points. But it wasn’t enough as his next highest-scoring teammate contributed 13 points in Malcolm Dandridge. Regardless, both sides will hope for increased bench production this time around, as both sides only saw 9 and 10-point contributions total from the reserve players.
Memphis Tigers Players To Watch
David Jones needs to likely have another great scoring performance, but he’d like some help. Jaykwon Walton is someone to look for as he is a capable outside shooter and didn’t get as many shots up as he would’ve liked the last time around. Additionally, the three-point defense needs to tighten up. They allowed Tulane to shoot 41.7% from beyond the arc in the last game. They went 10 of 24 from range. The three-ball and free throw disparity kept Tulana in the game last time and ultimately allowed them to get the victory.
Tulane Green Wave Players To Watch
Another season high for Sion James would be great. However, others will also need to step up today. Collin Holloway is someone who needs to have a bigger scoring contribution if lightning is going to strike twice. In the last outing, he played 33 minutes, but only had 13 points. If he could get the ball done low and at least help get some of the Memphis Tigers bigs in early foul trouble, it would go a long way.
Memphis Tigers vs Tulane Green Wave Prediction
It’s hard to see Tulane pulling off the upset twice. Before as the #10 ranked team, Memphis may have overlooked them, but not this time. They’ll have a little revenge on their mind and at the very least want to make sure to take care of business. I like the home team to strike early and put this game out of reach before any hope of another upset can come into existence.
Final Pick
Memphis Tigers -9
