Minnesota Gophers

The Minnesota Gophers (15-7, 6-5 Big Ten) travel to the Iowa Hawkeyes (13-10, 5-7) for the second of a BIG matchup on Sunday. Although teams have struggled on the road, the Gophers are sizeable underdogs. While Ben Krikke deserves a lot of the attention, who else should you consider putting  into your fantasy lineup?

Minnesota Gophers vs Iowa Hawkeyes Obvious Starts

Minnesota Gophers

Tony Perkins– G ($15,900 DK)

The senior put together nice games consistently for the Hawkeyes. Over the last 10 games, he averages 35.0 FPPG. Even though the price is steep, he’s on too much of a heater to consider sitting today. Additionally, he usually gets into the 20s, but his last game against Penn State saw a low 11-point outing for him. Today will prove to be something of a small bounce back.

 Dawson Garcia-F ($14,100 DK)

The last game against Iowa saw Garcia score 30 points for the Minnesota Gophers. From a fantasy perspective, he is giving you 31.6 FPPG this season. Iowa didn’t suddenly get much bigger or more athletic and the matchups at that end should allow him to have another nice outing.

Owen Freeman-F ($12,900 DK)

Freeman produces fantasy value for you. At 26.2 over the last ten games, he’s someone you need to include in your lineup today. After three games of scoring less than 10 points, he’s likely to get himself going again at home against the Minnesota Gophers.

Cam Christie– G ($11,400 DK)

Christie is as hot as any shooter in the Big Ten right now. He just scored 19 points against a Michigan State team by going 5 of 7 from three-point range. This marks the third game in a row that he has scored in double figures. Although he sees limited offensive touches, he makes the most of them when he does. His floor remains 21 fantasy points, but his upside is undeniable.

Minnesota Gophers vs Iowa Hawkeyes Sit ‘Em

Pharrell Payne– F ($12,000 DK)

Unless the game goes into overtime, Payne is not a high fantasy producer. In games that finished in regulation, his highest scoring production was 9 points against Wisconsin out of their last five matchups. His last game saw him only get 15.8 fantasy points. He looks to be on a slide and is too risky to pick for today.

Minnesota Gophers vs Iowa Hawkeyes Lock of the Day

Ben Krikke– F ($10,800 DK)

At 25.2 FPPG you need to have him. While teams try to stop him, it often is for nothing. Sure, he had a mini-slump, but after scoring 22 points against Penn State, he appears to be out of it. Regardless, he will have the ball in his hands a lot against the Minnesota Gophers, and not including him is a missed opportunity for your fantasy team.
