NFL week 11 is rapidly approaching, and after a bummer week 10, I can’t wait. In week 10 we saw Marquez Valdes-Scantling in the winning lineups and Mack Hollins scored decently as well. What is going on? Well, the answer is simple, injuries are opening the door for veterans to prove they can still go out and perform. But that was last week, this week things will be different, right? Let’s break down this slate and see who should be targeting heading into week 11.
Games With Highest O/U
Everyone who knows anything about DFS knows it’s always smart to target players in games with the highest scoring potential. Here are the top three projected high-scoring games for week 11.
- Seahawks @ 49ers– The opening lines in this one are sitting at O/U 49.5, which is not surprising. The Niners got Jennings, Samuel, and CMC back last week and the offense looked totally different. On the other side, DK Metcalf could return, which gives Geno Smith his favorite target. Shanahan didn’t fully unleash CMC in his return, look for him to do so in week 11 against their NFC West rivals.
- Jaguars @ Lions- The O/U in this one is 48. Jared Goff is back at home, where he has been gold for fantasy owners. Stud off a dud narrative is definitely in play in this one. I know some will look at what the Jags defense did against the Vikings, but don’t let that scare you. That was an outlier and the Lions offense is way better. This is a juicy matchup for Detroit and I would not be surprised to see them cover the spread by themselves.
- Ravens @ Steelers- On DraftKings, the O/U in this AFC North battle is at a whopping 47.5. Russell Wilson and the Steelers are out to prove they are contenders, while Action Jackson and King Henry continue to dominate. The Ravens’ secondary has been vulnerable this year, but their run defense has been decent. This game is loaded with players who could do well for DFS players.
Players to Watch
This week there are a few players I will be getting exposure and the last one will likely have very low exposure. Let’s jump in and see who you should be considering this week.
Quarterback
Jameis Winston
You read that right. The Browns are playing the Saints, and the revenge narrative is in full effect. The Saints traded away Lattimore and Winston will likely feast in this one. Winston, in his two starts this year, is averaging a meager 7.2 FPPG. Against the Ravens, whose secondary is better, he threw for 334 yards, 3 TDs, and no interceptions. I will have some exposure to Winston this week, and at only $5,500 on DK, it gives you the money to pay up at other positions. I will be looking at stacking Tillman and Njoku with him.
Running Back
Audric Estime
Shocking right? No not really. Coach Sean Payton loves Estime and has been on the record saying he will get more volume moving forward. In essence, he has replaced Javonte Williams as the starter in Denver. The Broncos are hosting the Falcons, who rank 20th against the run. They are giving up close to 130 rushing yards per game, and with Estime being the RB1, he could have a monstrous day. On DK, Estime is priced at $4,500, which is phenomenal for a player who will be starting. I will be rolling with Estime in some of my lineups this week.
Wide Receiver
Cedric Tillman
Why not? He is clearly Winston’s favorite target and his last two games have been solid. In his two games with Winston starting he has scored 28.9 and 19.5 fantasy points. The matchup against the Saints is exactly what you need for a receiver to produce good numbers. Over the last three games, Tillman has garnered 32 targets, which is just too much volume to overlook. He is way underpriced on DK, who have him at $5,300 heading into week 11.
Tight End
T.J. Hockenson
The tight end position this year has been rough. The TEs that do well are priced so high that it is sometimes hard to get to them in your lineups. This week we have a viable and affordable option. Hockenson is back and Darnold is showing him some love. Last week he caught 8 passes for 72 yards and posted 15.2 fantasy points. Minnesota is traveling to Tennessee this week, but I am not scared of that defense. Hockenson is almost a lock this week. At only $4,700 on DK, he will be featured in a lot of my lineups.
DST
Miami Dolphins
That’s right! This Dolphins defense has been under-rated this year and now they face a Vegas offense that has been struggling. In fact, the Raiders offense is ranked 32nd this year, which bodes well for Ramsey & Co. The Dolphins are sitting at $3,000 on DK this week, and at that price why wouldn’t you roll the dice on them?
Final Thoughts
These are just a few players to watch heading into week 11. Let’s not forget that Mahomes and the undefeated Chiefs travel to Buffalo to battle Allen and the red-hot Bills. The Packers battle the Bears, which is always fun to watch. Stay tuned as our team of analysts continues to break down week 11 and give you the best chance of cashing those lineups.
