With some chance for inclement weather for Sunday Night Football, the 3-0 Buffalo Bills take on the 1-2 Ravens in Baltimore. M&T Bank Stadium and the Ravens will be showcasing their “Darkness Falls” theme with their black-out uniforms.
A showdown between MVP candidate quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen is one to watch in primetime and is always enjoyable. It will be a battle between defenses as well, as the run game will likely be a key element with Derrick Henry and James Cook. Here are players to start and sit for DFS in this game.
Bills vs. Ravens DFS Start ‘Ems
Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.
Derrick Henry (DraftKings: $6.8K, Fanduel: $8.4K)
The King arrived last week, with 25 carries for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns. Derrick Henry should be leaned on heavily to keep Josh Allen off the field against a formidable team like the Bills. The Ravens will likely lead with Henry and as long as they can keep points on the board, it shouldn’t get out of hand to where he is game-scripted out. The Bills should be exploitable more on the ground rather than through the air, as they are middle of the pack vs. the run and top-10 against the pass.
Bills vs. Ravens DFS Sit ‘Ems
Rashod Bateman (DraftKings: $4K, Fanduel: $5.3K)
Although Rashod Bateman was able to get a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys secondary in Week 3, the pass volume will likely not be enough. Even at his cost, the Ravens’ tight ends like Mark Andrews or Isaiah Likely might be better dart throws or a more consistent option in Zay Flowers.
Total Apex Lock of the Game
Josh Allen (DraftKings: $7.8K, Fanduel: $9.2K)
Baltimore’s secondary has been exploited this year, and this could be a smash spot for Josh Allen against the Raven’s secondary, which has been the worst in the league. While the weather could play a factor, his rushing upside keeps his floor pretty high, along with a max ceiling. Allen is playing like an MVP-level player, so this game with him facing the former two-time MVP on the opposite side will be fun to watch in Lamar Jackson.
Total Apex Fade of the Game
James Cook (DraftKings:$6.9K, Fanduel: $7.2K)
The Baltimore Ravens boast the best run defense in the NFL, so other then some receiving work or a one-off touchdown from James Cook, he is a fade for me this week. Allen also absorbs some rushing touchdown equity and snaps in the backfield, along with rookies Ray Davis and Ty Johnson.
Conclusion
The Baltimore Ravens will need this game to crawl back into the AFC North, especially with the undefeated 3-0 Pittsburgh Steelers. The Buffalo Bills are on top of the AFC East but will need to keep distance from the 2-1 New York Jets.
The Ravens tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely could also have a bounce-back game, along with wide receiver Zay Flowers. For the Bills, it is spread out but the consistent options in the receiving game seem to be wide receiver Khalil Shakir and tight end Dalton Kincaid. Both quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen should be viable at their price points.
