The 0-2 Baltimore Ravens will take on the 1-1 Cowboys in Dallas at AT&T Stadium. Both teams are coming off bad losses, the Cowboys were blown out by the 2-0 New Orleans Saints at home in Week 2.
The Ravens are coming off a blown lead heading into the 4th and lost to the 1-1 Las Vegas Raiders. This will be a pivotal matchup for both teams, as they are seeking another playoff berth in 2024.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys DFS Start ‘Ems
Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.
Zay Flowers, Wide Receiver, Baltimore Ravens (DraftKings/Fanduel: $6.8K)
It is interesting to see a wide receiver breakout in Baltimore over their tight ends, but Zay Flowers is continuing from his historic rookie season. He should be the lead target-getter for the Ravens, as he is 13/21 for 128 yards and a touchdown on the season. It is clear offensive coordinator Todd Monken is focusing on getting him the ball, whether it’s spamming screens or a few intermediate/deep post routes, curls, or comebacks. Even if he is covered by Trevon Diggs on Dallas’ secondary.
Dak Prescott, Quarterback, Dallas Cowboys (DraftKings: $6.6K, Fanduel: $7.8K)
Dak Prescott is coming off a poor performance but so far, it looks to be a get-right game against a soft secondary of the Ravens. Last week, Baltimore’s secondary struggled to stop Davante Adams late which led to their loss. CeeDee Lamb can provide the same challenge, and Prescott would be the benefactor of that. Brandin Cooks could also be an interesting dart throw if he plays.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys DFS Sit ‘Ems
On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.
Ezekiel Elliott, Running Back, Dallas Cowboys (DraftKings: $5.5K, Fanduel: $6.1K)
The Baltimore Ravens have been one of the best run-stopping defenses so far. That is a bad matchup against Ezekiel Elliott, who already splits carries with Rico Dowdle. The veteran only has 16 total carries, so unless he rumbles into the endzone like in Week 1, this price tag won’t be worth it.
Jake Ferguson, Tight End, Dallas Cowboys (DraftKings: $4.5K, Fanduel: $5.4K)
Even if Jake Ferguson plays coming off an injury, it would be risky to play him in this matchup. Despite rookie Brock Bowers exploiting the Ravens’ defense last week, Dallas would likely feed Lamb and their other receivers in this game as opposed to their tight ends. Also, Baltimore’s tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely are worth their price tag compared to Ferguson.
Total Apex Lock of the Game
Derrick Henry, Running Back, Baltimore Ravens (DraftKings: $6.5K, Fanduel: $7.8K)
Although it is only Week 3, the Dallas Cowboys run defense was gashed by Alvin Kamara and the New Orleans Saints in Week 2 and Week 1, Jerome Ford of the Cleveland Browns had a decent game. Derrick Henry had a few nice runs last week and should be more involved, as the Ravens will have to find a way to block against Micah Parsons. Henry should see the red zone once again in this game.
Total Apex Fade of the Game
Isaiah Likely, Tight End, Baltimore Ravens (DraftKings: $4.7K, Fanduel: $5.6K)
Likely was not involved compared to Andrews compared to their performances in Week 1 and 2. The younger tight end will be more boom-bust, while the veteran should get a solid floor of targets despite playing a similar amount of snaps. It will be hard to predict week to week, so Likely is a risky play ultimately this week going against a Dallas defense that has been better against tight ends as of late.
