The 1-4 Tennesse Titans head to western New York to take on the AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon. The Titans are reeling off last week’s loss to Indianapolis and are only a half-game from last place in the AFC South. The Titans’ offense is their biggest issue being ranked 31st overall and 31st in passing. Buffalo is heavily favored in this game as a 9.5-point favorite, which brings the concern of a blowout and the possibility of Buffalo pulling back in the second half.
Tennesse Titans vs. Buffalo Bills DFS Start ‘Ems
Here are a few of the players we are heavily leaning on in this game. These players are in a good spot to have a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.
Tony Pollard ($6.3k DraftKings and $7.1k Fanduel)
Tony Pollard is the Titan in the best spot to be successful in this game. He is set up for success in two ways, first with the most likely absence of Tyjae Spears and second, he faces Bill’s defense ranked 31st in points allowed to the running back position. From a volume standpoint alone he is a good DFS option and with his passing games usage, Pollard should be game script proof. In addition, Pollard is the highest DFS-priced Titan for a reason.
Dalton Kincaid ($5k DraftKings and $$6.3k Fanduel)
Kincaid had a nice game on Monday night versus the Jets with a team-high 7 targets and 6 catches. Kincaid’s 8.1 FanDuel points were his best fantasy output since Week 3. If Kincaid can operate more consistently as Bill’s top option in the passing game, he will take off. However, that remains to be seen with the addition of Amari Cooper. Kincaid is the overall PPR TE11 making him a viable DFS option in Week 7.
Tennesee Titans vs. Buffalo Bills DFS Sit ‘Ems
On the flip side, here are a few of the players we recommend sitting in this one.
Will Levis ($4.7k DraftKings and $6.6k Fanduel)
Will Levis has been awful this season which explains the Tennessee 31st ranked offense. Levis is QB31 and near the league bottom in yards per attempt and passer rating. You are looking almost anywhere else in DFS this week for a quarterback.
James Cook ($7k DraftKings and $7.9k Fanduel)
Based on the video of James Cook’s toe injury, we expect his toe injury to possibly linger. If it is turf toe then can affect him for weeks before he is back to full strength. If Cook is active, he gets a very difficult matchup against a Tennessee defense ranked ninth versus the run and points allowed to the running back position.
Total Apex Lock of the Game
Josh Allen ($7.5k DraftKings and $9.2k Fanduel)
We will select the best player on this game slate as our DFS lock. Allen has not been what we come to expect but he is still the overall fantasy QB5. Last week against the Jets, Allen had 24.4 fantasy points and is the top-priced week 7 quarterback on the FanDuel main slate.
Total Apex Fade of the Game
Calvin Ridley ($5.5k DraftKings and $5.7k Fanduel)
Ridley’s frustration boiled over last week after his 8 targets, zero catches for zero yards stat line. To further explain how bad it is, while researching this game when Will Levis targets Ridley his passer rating is 34.3. That is dead last among 88 qualified wide receivers. However again he is a fade rather than a straight-up sit because you most likely need to start him in season-long.
Conclusion
The Bills represent our best DFS options in this game, with Josh Allen and Dalton Kincaid are our top choices. Tony Pollard is the clear Tennessee top option based on the matchup and volume potential. The Titans should look to use the run game as much as possible to limit Will Levis’ pass attempts.
