Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Las Vegas Raiders DFS Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em| October 13, 2024

Raiders TE Brock Bowers steelers los angeles rams

The 3-2 AFC North Co-leader Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Las Vegas in Week 6 to take on the 2-3 Raiders. The Steelers come in looking to stop a two-game losing streak after last week’s last-second defeat to Dallas. Antonio Pierce stated that the starting quarterback over Gardner Minshew is Aidan O’Connell. In addition, Russell Wilson is now slated to log a full practice for the first time all season and could end up starting for the Steelers in Week 6 over Justin Fields.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Las Vegas Raiders DFS Start ‘Ems

Here are a few of the players we heavily lean on in this game. These players are in a good spot to have a solid performance and a favorable matchup.

George Pickens ($5.9k DraftKings and $6.2k Fanduel)

Pickens led the Steelers in targets last week with seven, commanded a 26% target share, and is by far the most targeted Pittsburgh wideout with 36 on the season. The Steeler’s quarterback position continues to hold him back but from a talent perspective, he is a start for us this week against Las Vegas.

Jakobi Meyers ($5.4k DraftKings and $5.7k Fanduel)

With Davante Adams most likely getting traded, Meyers should bump up to the Las Vegas WR1. Meyers, last two weeks with Adams inactive, has a 32% target share, which is very fantasy-friendly. Meyers has averaged 11.55 fantasy points, which makes him a startable DFS wideout this week with another four teams on a bye week.

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we recommend sitting in this one.

Calvin Austin III ($3.3k DraftKings and $5.1k Fanduel)

Austin is a boom-or-bust option best suited for your best ball teams. The WR2 on the Steelers is simply not a DFS option you can use or trust. Austin has 131 receiving yards through five games and 55 of that came in one play.

Total Apex Lock of the Game

Brock Bowers ($6k DraftKings and $6.7k Fanduel)

Bowers represents the best fantasy asset in this game, he is the fantasy PPR TE1 and the top option in the Raider passing game. Last week, Bowers had 12 targets, 8 catches, and 97 yards receiving. More information in our favor, Davante Adams is rumored to be traded by midweek. With both sides having major unknowns at the quarterback spot, our lock goes to the best DFS option in Bowers.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Najee Harris ($5.8k DraftKings and $7.2k Fanduel)

Najee Harris gets the volume, Jaylen Warren is listed as doubtful but simply has done nothing to warrant a start recommendation. Last week for Dallas, Harris had a 74% snap share and posted a 14-42 stat line. Najee is PPR RB30. We say this every week, our fade does not mean sit but to temper expectations.

Conclusion

From a DFS perspective, this game will be challenging with the unknown at starting quarterbacks. Therefore, our recommendations are based on the best probability of occurrence, team positional rankings, and current volume data.
