San Antionio Spurs at Minnesota Timberwolves NBA DFS Game 6 Showdown 5/15/2026

The DFS Showdown for the Spurs and Timberwolves Game 6 is going to be exciting for a couple of reasons. First of all, we might see a vengeful Victor Wembenyama after his ejection from Game 4 and his bounce-back in Game 5. Naz Reid might also be looking for some payback for his chin. Given how both the Thunder and Knicks swept their series, only this and the Cavs series with the Pistons look to be particularly competitive.

In terms of actually playing the showdown, it can be very tempting to select Victor Wembenyama as a captain. He will be very expensive, though (18,000 dollars to be exact). The winning play tonight might be to select a different captain while using Wemby as a utility who should be putting up 25 and 12 at least tonight.

Captains: Stephon Castle, Ayo Dosunmu

Stephon Castle has been playing like an ideal DFS captain. Not only is he putting points on the board, but he has been averaging 6 assists in the playoffs. Outside of Wemby, Castle has been the Spurs’ most reliable secondary scorer. On top of all that, he only costs 8,800, so it’s very easy to afford his higher captain price.

The other and much more risky captain option would be Ayo Dossunmu. He didn’t have a good shooting game last time without Wemby to defend him in the paint. It looks like, however, Dossunmu will be starting in place of Mike Conley. This is important because Dossunmu would become a primary kick-out option for Anthony Edwards when he drives to the paint. That could result in a couple of easy looks at the basket, and if Dossunmu gets in a rhythm, he can drop a ton of points in a short amount of time.

Utility

This is clearly where DFS players are going to want to pay for Wemby. He should be looking at close to 60 fantasy points, which is well worth his 12,000 price tag. Doing this also makes it possible to afford Edwards, who costs 10,000. Although his results have been a bit inconsistent, Ant-Man has proven he can still get his shots off against a stout San Antonio defense.

To afford both of these superstars, DFS players will need some solid value picks. That’s where Nas Reid and Dylan Harper come in. Reid has been shooting very well from the floor, particularly from three-point range. He did hit four threes in Game 3 before his 0-4 performance from three in Game 4. Reid also gets plenty of rebounds when Wemby is off the floor. Harper is coming off a 24-point performance, and he has shown a lot of confidence driving to the basket as well as getting to his jumpshot.

Fade

This isn’t looking like a good night to play Rudy Gobert. He will be competing for every rebound with Victor Wembenyama. In addition to that, Gobert has been struggling to score in double figures throughout this series. Another player that may be smart to fade is De’Aaron Fox. Even though he scored 24 in Game 4, it came from an 8-23 shooting night. He also shot 14% from three-point range, and given the type of player he is, he needs to have his shots fall to be worth a DFS start.
