NBA DFS March 28, 2024

It is a small NBA slate today, and the NCAA Tournament is likely drawing lots of eyeballs. There are just two games, but there is a lot of potential for points in NBA DFS. Three out of the four teams are solidly in the playoffs and have some big scorers on the team.

NBA DFS Must Starts

Kristaps Porzingis

My top overall play for NBA DFS today is Porzingis. The matchup is favorable as the Celtics’ power forward has seen an uptick in all of his season stats when playing the Hawks. These teams met three days ago, and he put up 17 points, five rebounds, two assists, and three blocks.

There is also the element of Al Horford being out. While it is still a game-time decision as of right now, if the veteran big man cannot play, Porzingis could see some increased minutes. He is a little expensive, but I like the value in NBA DFS.

CJ McCollum

McCollum has taken on more of the scoring load in the absence of Brandon Ingram. While Zion Williamson has also seen an uptick in scoring, McCollum’s numbers have looked good over the last five games. During that span, he averaged 22.0 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.4 rebounds. For NBA DFS, it is the matchup which excites me.

The Milwaukee Bucks have been terrible at defending shooting guards all season. In the last five games the Bucks have played, they have seen the following stat lines from the shooting guard position.

-Devin Booker: 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block

-Grayson Allen: 25 points, three rebounds, eight assists, one steal

-Bradley Beal: 28 points, four rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block

Jaylen Brown: 21 points, eight rebounds, two assists, one steal

Cam Thomas: 21 points, six rebounds, four assists

Josh Giddey: 19 points, nine rebounds, eight assists

Austin Reaves: 29 points, 14 rebounds, ten assists

The Bucks can’t stop shooting guards. I’ll give them a pass on Brown, Booker, and Beal. They can have big games against the best defenses in the league. The rest of the players should be easier to shut down. Start whatever shooting guard is playing the Bucks in NBA DFS.

This may be a cop-out answer, but I don’t hate anyone in today’s slate. While there are some players, like Dejountae Murray, who might be a little pricey, I like the matchup in NBA DFS. The only team I don’t like is the Atlanta Hawks who are on the second night of a back-to-back. However, most of their players are at such low prices that it doesn’t seem to be that big of a risk.
