May 9th MLB DFS Starts
SP Cal Quantrill, San Fransisco Giants at Colorado Rockies($5,200 – DraftKings)
Cal Quantrill in his last start had a strong game pitching 7.2 scoreless innings against the Pirates. Quantrill who was struggling with the Rockies had a strong game and could get another gem today.
With the Giants struggling to find a foothold this season, Quantrill could take advantage of the hitters today. The Rockies pitcher is also at Coors Field and while it’s not a pitcher-friendly park, Quantrill could do well today.
OF Billy Donovan, St. Louis Cardinals at Milwaukee Brewers($4,200)
With the rain postponement on Wednesday, the Cardinals will head to Milwaukee, with Billy Donovan being the hot bat. Donovan in the loss against the Mets Tuesday hit a home run and went 2-5.
The Cardinals outfielder has done well on the plate this season with four home runs and 19 RBIs but has a weak batting average. Donovan will be going to a hitter-friendly park in Miller Park and could face the Brewers there.
C Ryan Jeffers, Seattle Mariners at. Minnesota Twins($4,700)
The Twins young catcher Ryan Jeffers this season is coming out of nowhere being a great bat this season. In the win yesterday, Jeffers went 1-2 getting a double and a run. The Twins catcher has been hot for the Twins, with seven home runs, and 26 RBIs this season.
With facing the Mariners ace in Logan Gilbert, the Twins catcher could have a strong hitting game today.
May 9th MLB DFS Sits
1B Paul Goldschmidt, St. Louis Cardinals at Milwaukee Brewers($4,900)
In the loss against the Mets Tuesday due to a postponement yesterday, Goldschmidt struck out three times. Those strikeouts were with runners in scoring position and had cost the Cardinals games.
There is being in a cold streak and then striking out badly for the Cardinals. While Goldschmidt is a great bat, right now he should be on the bench because he looks off. Goldschmidt should be on the bench until further notice.
SS Elly De La Cruz, Arizona Diamondbacks at Cincinnati Reds ($6,000 – DraftKings)
The Reds young superstar has been inconsistent in hitting for the Reds this season. De La Cruz has been amazing for the Reds but has gone 0-4 in his last game against the Diamondbacks.
The inconsistency of the Reds superstar could cost fantasy teams in their MLB DFS. While De La Cruz is a great bat at times, he could struggle at the plate, against the Diamondbacks.
OF Charlie Blackmon San Francisco Giants at. Colorado Rockies ($4,600 – DraftKings)
For your MLB DFS teams, Charlie Blackmon should not be in your lineups for today. While the veteran for the Rockies had a good game Wednesday, Blackmon has been inconsistent for the Rockies this season.
The Rockies outfielder has been struggling this season with batting average and OPS. Even with a decent game every once in a while, Charlie Blackmon should be on the bench until there is improvement for the veteran lefty.
May 9th MLB DFS Best Stack
The best MLB DFS stack for this Thursday’s games is the duo of Julio Rodriguez and Cal Raleigh for the Mariners. While the Twins have a great lineup and hitting depth, their pitching has been mediocre. The Mariners hitting core has been great for them this season, especially Julio Rodriguez and Cal Raleigh.
Julio Rodriguez is having a good season for far for the Mariners batting .267 with 11 RBIs for the team. While the young outfielder is doing well with the team, the biggest contributor to the Mariners is Cal Raleigh. Raleigh this season has nine home runs and will contribute again tonight for today’s MLB DFS.
