With the week almost done, there will be a good bit of MLB DFS action tonight for the MLB slate of six games. One of the feature games today will be the Boston Red Sox facing division rival Tampa Bay Rays in Fenway Park. Another featured game today will be the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Chicago Cubs.
With only one day game today, the rest of them will be tonight with a lot of late action. There will be some games that could bring in a lot of offense for your fantasy teams today. Along with providing offense, tonight could also do well for some pitchers in the DFS line-ups today.
Tonight’s games will be fun for MLB DFS with the week nearly over and Summer almost here for baseball.
May 16th MLB DFS Starts
https://gty.im/2152529931
SP Joey Estes, Oakland Athletics at Houston Astros ($7,000 – DraftKings)
Joey Estes in the first start pitched 5.0 innings, striking out five and giving up an earned run. After a solid first outing, Estes will be trusted to make another start tonight against the Astros.
While the Astros are warming up, Estes could do well against a weakened line-up. Houston’s hitters have been struggling all season and Estes could have another great start and will help your fantasy games tonight.
2B Amed Rosario, Tampa Bay Rays at. Boston Red Sox($4,300)
While he was hurt for a while, Amed Rosario is finding his swing this season with the Rays. The second baseman is breaking out big for the Rays and is doing well with batting .300 this season.
In yesterday’s game in Boston, he went two for five in the win against the Red Sox. Rosarios hitting is getting hot and would be a great pick-up for your MLB DFS team today.
OF Kyle Schwarber, New York Mets at. Philadelphia Phillies($5,200)
Kyle Schwarber has been getting hot in the line-up with the Phillies since coming back from injury. In the win against the Mets, Schwarber went 2-4 driving in an RBI. Schwarber has done well against the Mets pitching in the past three years and could hit a home run tonight.
Even with having a weak batting average, Schwarber has nine home runs this season and could go for more tonight.
May 16th MLB DFS Sits
https://gty.im/2152490750
SP Jose Quintana, New York Mets at. Philadelphia Phillies ($5,100 – DraftKings)
In his last two starts, Jose Quintana has struggled to find his location, costing the Mets crucial games. The Mets lefty in his prior start struggled with the Braves, giving up four earned runs, including three home runs.
Jose Quintana has not been the same since the Rays game and is not himself. Fantasy owners should have warning signs of picking Quintana today because he will face a top-tier line-up.
1B Pete Alonso, New York Mets at. Philadelphia Phillies ($4,800 – DraftKings)
With the team struggling, Pete Alonso is trying to pick up the pieces in another losing season but is also underachieving. The New York Mets slugger has been batting around .220 this season with his RBI numbers dwindling.
Even with nine home runs, he is becoming a three-outcome hitter for the Mets. The numbers need to improve and until then, he should not be starting for your MLB DFS lineups today.
OF Brandon Nimmo New York Mets at. Philadelphia Phillies ($4,400 – DraftKings)
The entire Mets team this week has been struggling, including one of their more reliable hitters Bradon Nimmo. Nimmo has been battling injuries and the lack of hitting in the past two games shows it.
In the last game, Nimmo went 0-4 with a walk in the loss against the Phillies. The entire team is struggling and Nimmo is at the forefront center of it all and should be on the bench for fantasy owners.
May 16th MLB DFS Best Stack
https://gty.im/2152942345
The best stack for this Thursday’s slate of MLB games today will be Patrick Wisdom and Micheal Busch for the Chicago Cubs. Chicago is going against the Pirates tonight and those two could break out immediately in a big way. While the Pirates’ pitching has been decent, they will be facing Jared Jones again whom they have beaten before.
Patrick Wisdom who was out with an injury in the early parts of the season, has been hitting. Along with Micheal Busch who is hitting the ball well with a .252 average, and seven home runs. This duo could have a great night for your MLB DFS team tonight. Tonight could be a great night for MLB DFS action in the Windy City.
