Will Levis 2024 Fantasy Outlook: Top 20 Value at Quarterback?

Will Levis

The Tennessee Titans are doing what good teams do, building around their young quarterback Will Levis, and figuring out if he’s the franchise signal caller past 2024.

The 24-year-old didn’t start last year, behind veteran Ryan Tannehill and Malik Willis, till injuries to other quarterbacks forced him into the starting lineup in Week 8.

While the season went downhill for him after that amazing debut against the Atlanta Falcons, there is still hope for Levis, especially with the moves they made this offseason. Levis had a typical rookie season, with ups but mostly downs, but with an improved offensive unit and a new head coach Brian Callahan, I could easily see him make a massive jump this coming season.

For fantasy football, he wasn’t an asset last year, but with him being drafted after the top 20 quarterbacks, could we see Levis be a value and a potential quarterback two with upside?

Playing and starting in nine games, Will Levis went 3-6 as the Tennessee Titans mostly struggled offensively, aside a few games. In about half the season, the former second-round pick from Kentucky had 1,808 passing yards, a 58.4 completion percentage, and eight touchdowns through the air to four interceptions.

This was evident in the 2023 NFL Draft, as he was a potential first-rounder who fell to day two and had issues with accuracy in college as an older prospect. Now Levis has a showcase his chance as a starting quarterback entering 2024 for the Titans, as Tennessee upgraded at many positions, but especially on offense.

If he were to be a fantasy asset, the 6’4″ and 229-pound passer would have to limit the turnovers, as his scrambling ability helps him despite fumbling the ball seven times and losing it four times.

That is tied to having one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL last season, but those numbers will need to improve this year.

This season, Levis is being considered as more than a waiver wire flyer, but still not a serious candidate to move the needle early. However, I think he has a shot at being more than what meets the eye, especially in comparison to other options around that range.

Will Levis is the 24th-ranked quarterback for fantasy football, according to FantasyPros, and is drafted in the back end of fantasy drafts as a backup quarterback option.

Hi ADP sits at 149th overall, making him a back-end quarterback with some risk, like Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield, and Geno Smith. Despite him being among some veterans and some solid but not elite options for fantasy quarterbacks, Levis has the untapped potential and upside those other passers don’t have for fantasy.

Other than an improved environment around him, Levis could be even more valuable with his Josh Allen-like rushing size and similar enough mobility, and if Callahan wanted to get creative, could use him on more quarterback runs in 2024.

In college, Levis had a career nine rushing touchdowns for the Wildcats in 2021, compared to the one he had for Tennessee in 2023. If that part of his game can be unlocked for the Titans, that would boost his trajectory as a fantasy quarterback tenfold.

Final Thoughts on Will Levis

With an upgrading offensive, through this past NFL Draft, and weapons at wide receiver and running back, Will Levis has a chance to double or triple his 2023 numbers.

Along with an offensive-minded head coach in Callahan, who comes from the Cincinnati Bengals, their receiving core is suddenly stacked or the best it’s ever been in ages. The All-Pro and Pro Bowl veteran DeAndre Hopkins will have two solid running mates in Calvin Ridley, from the rival Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tyler Boyd, reuniting with Callahan from the Bengals.

This is to replace or to start over players like depth receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and former first-rounder Treylon Burks, who will have to find his path in contributing with his offense.

The answer for the Titans this offseason to replace all-time great Derrick Henry, who is with the Baltimore Ravens, was to bring in Tony Pollard from the Dallas Cowboys in free agency to pair with their young running back Tyjae Spears.

If Will Levis is anywhere close to being legit, the Tennesse Titans will make some noise in the AFC South and he will be an interesting late-round pick at quarterback for fantasy.
