My Favorite Fantasy Draft Pick for the 1st 10 Rounds

Fantasy League Draft
As the NFL begins in less than 2 weeks, it’s time to get ready to draft. There are 3 types of players: Ones who are overrated, underrated, or rated exactly where they should be.
Today we are discussing 10 players I think are criminally underrated. For this article, I am going with the standard 12-team PPR draft format. Also, I am using the ADP (average draft position) based on Yahoo standard drafts. Let’s dive in.

Early Round Draft Studs

Round 1 – Amon-Ra St Brown WR Detroit Lions

Brown had 119 catches for 1,515 yards and 10 TDs. The Lions did not make any additions that should affect his target share. I would not be surprised if his number looks similar at the end of the season. Brown is going at an ADP of 7.8.

Round 2 – Kyren Williams RB Los Angeles Rams

Williams had 1,144 yards and 12 TDs in only 12 games. Incredible production. He should be a top 5 RB in fantasy this season but is going 8th on average. No brainer 2nd round pick and his ADP is 17.4

Round 3 – Cooper Kupp WR Los Angeles Rams

Kupp is another Ram who only played 12 games last year. But he put up solid numbers and still managed 95 targets. That could easily reach 150 if he stays healthy. Kupp’s ADP is 32.8.

Round 4 – Jaylen Waddle WR Miami Dolphins

Waddle missed 3 games last season but still had his third straight 1,000-yard season. He should get a lot of targets when teams double-team Tyreek Hill. Look for him to put up similar numbers to 2022 when he has 75 catches for 1,356 yards and 8 TDs. Waddle’s ADP is 40.8.

Round 5 – Amari Cooper WR Cleveland Browns

Cooper had a career-high in receiving yards last year despite missing 2 games. He is the unquestioned #1 receiver on the Browns. Cooper should be a round 5 steal if QB Deshaun Watson can stay healthy. His ADP is 53.1.

Draft Value Guys

Round 6 – Najee Harris RB Pittsburgh Steelers

Harris is Mr. Consistency. He has run for over 1,000 yards and 7 TDs in each of his three seasons. He may split time with Jaylen Warren, but Warren is banged up right now. And with uncertainty at QB, the Steelers figure to run the ball quite a bit. Harris’s ADP is 71.2.

Round 7 – Christian Kirk WR Jacksonville Jaguars

Kirk had a down in 2023. He lost targets to Calvin Ridley and only appeared in 12 games. But Ridley is now a member of the Titans. Kirk should return to the slot WR position, a place where he has thrived in the past. Look for him to put up 2022-like numbers where he had 84 catches for 1,108 and 8 TDs. His ADP is 83.9.

Round 8 – Rasheed Rice WR Kansas City Chiefs

Rice got into some legal trouble in the offseason. This is the only reason he might be available this late. Rice had a terrific rookie campaign and helped the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. He should be the WR1 in this offense and it doesn’t hurt that Patrick Mahomes is the QB. His ADP is 86, which is about 20-25 spots too low. He is a draft must if he falls this far.

Round 9 – Chris Godwin WR Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I know. I know. Another WR? But that is where the value is. Can you imagine getting a WR who had over 1,000 yards and 80 catches last season in the 9th round? Now he only had two TDs. But what are the odds that happen again? More than likely he will double or even triple that output. Godwin’s ADP is 91.

Rookie Draft Sleeper

Round 10 – Brock Bowers TE Las Vegas Raiders

Technically his ADP is 111 which would put him in the 11th round. But I like Bowers better than the round ten options. The rookie projects to play more of a WR role than a TE one. And the Raiders figure to be playing from behind a lot this season. That should lead to a healthy amount of targets for Bowers.
There is no chance you will be able to draft all of these players on your team. But if you can even get half of them, you should be in a position to win your league. Good luck!
