Alabama and Auburn are facing off on the court for the second time in two weeks. The Crimson Tide got a narrow 79-75 victory at home against their rival. Both teams are now ranked in the top 25, making Wednesday’s matchup crucial in the SEC. Who should you target in daily fantasy? Here is the Alabama vs. Auburn DFS preview.
Alabama Vs. Auburn DFS Preview: Which Star Player To Pick?
Expect a high-scoring affair on Wednesday. Alabama averages 89.9 points per game (1st in the NCAA), while Auburn averages 82.4 (25th in the NCAA). This is good news for daily fantasy players. Mark Sears will likely play a huge role in the offense for the Crimson Tide. On the flip side, Johni Broome should get plenty of opportunities to fill the stat sheet for the Tigers.
In the matchup two weeks ago, these were the two players who dominated the scoring and likely will again. If I had to pick one to anchor your team, I would go with Broome. The Tigers are at home, and Broome had 14 rebounds and five blocks in their previous matchup. While Sears had eight assists and three steals, Broome has more upside.
Alabama Vs. Auburn DFS Preview: Role Players To Target
When Alabama and Auburn faced off two weeks ago, the Tigers couldn’t buy a bucket from three. They shot 5-25 as a team. They only lost by four while shooting 20% from three, which is impressive. I expect the team to shoot much better from three this time because they are at home. For this reason, I am targeting more of the Auburn role players.
Guards Denver Jones and Aden Holloway are the ones to target. They went a combined 1-10 from three in the previous matchup. Both are getting the shot volume and should put up more points. Jones had three steals in the first matchup which leads me to favor him. If you want to target someone from the Crimson Tide, give Jarin Stevenson a look. He usually plays about 20 minutes and could be an option to gain some points.
Alabama vs. Auburn will be a fun matchup to watch! If you are playing DFS, it is an opportunity to grab some high-scoring players.
