The NBA season has been amazing for the most part this season and people haven’t noticed it much due to the NFL. This series will be a twist on the NBA weekly redraft recap series I did earlier in the season but it will have the DFS values from Draft Kings/ FanDuel and will look at three players to play in lineups over the week. Do you want to make money on the NBA DFS scene? Then follow along with this series for the rest of the season. Here are this week’s picks for your NBA daily fantasy lineups.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($10,500 Draft Kings, $11,400 FanDuel)
SGA has been one of the top options in fantasy basketball this season in redraft and DFS hints at his high values. Still, his high value is worth looking at this week starting with this matchup with the Sixers on Tuesday evening, as the Sixers are a depleted injury-riddled team this season. He has averaged over 53 fantasy points throughout the season on the FanDuel platform.
The Thunder also have matchups against Cleveland, Dallas, and Brooklyn this week. The Cleveland and Dallas matchups are huge games for the Thunders’ confidence going forward. As the leading candidate for the League MVP right now, look for SGA to have huge games in these next three games against Philly, Cleveland, and Dallas.
Tyrese Maxey ($9,600 Draft Kings, $9,300 FanDuel)
Maxey is also another great option for the remainder of the week. He has over 46 fantasy points in each of his last four games. He’s the primary option right now because of the injuries that the Sixers have at this particular moment including Joel Embiid once again. This matchup on Tuesday night against the Thunder will be a tough one and as I am typing this, he was added to the injury report with a left hand sprain. He is day-to-day and is questionable for the game against Oklahoma City.
But that still doesn’t stop me from highlighting Maxey because he has been incredible this last month for the Sixers and for fantasy since the turn of the calendar to 2025. And with his day-to-day status, it is worth monitoring his status for his games on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday this weekend.
Nikola Jokic ($12,200 Draft Kings, $12,900 FanDuel)
Jokic is probably the best NBA player in the world at the moment with his offensive versatility on the court. However, he has an illness and is probable to play in Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks. His average of 69.3 fantasy points per game right now for the Nuggets is at the top of the league. The former 3x NBA MVP will have strong success over the week after this Mavericks game, facing Houston, Miami, and Orlando coming up in the three games after this matchup vs. Dallas.
Jokic is my best pick of the week because he’s the one who will consistently be above that 60 fantasy point threshold every game. That will help you make the most of the money in these DFS lineups over the next few days.
Conclusion
The NBA season is about to reach the All-Star Break about a month after this article is published. The picks I have made are some of the safer starts this week to establish a baseline as the locks of the week. But as this series goes on, I will start to take more risks with these picks and will guide you along on why those picks are risky over the next few weeks. So, if you want to follow along weekly with this series on Total Apex Fantasy throughout the rest of the NBA season.
