William Nylander had a very good season last year with the Toronto Maple Leafs, him and Auston Matthews crushed their career-highs.
Nylander had a career-high in points last season, 40 goals and 98 points in 82 games, the Toronto Maple Leafs did end up losing to the Boston Bruins in 7 games in 1st round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

William Nylander was selected by the Maple Leafs in the first round, eighth overall, of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, out of Sweden.
William Nylander made his NHL Debut in February of 2016, the 2016-17 season is when Nylander was a full time NHL player as Nylander was named the Rookie Of The Month in October.
He put up 22 goals and 61 points in 82 games for his Rookie season, helping the Maple Leafs make the playoffs for the first time since 2004, losing to the Washington Capitals in the 1st round.
In 2018-19 William Nylander was not signed as a RFA, he didn’t attend training camp he was losing 30k or so a day not attending anything with the Maple Leafs, before he was unable to play at all in the 2018-19 season which the deadline for that was December 1st 2018, Nylander signed a 6-year, $45 million contract, he struggled that season only having 27 points in 54 games.
In early 2024, William Nylander signed a 8 year, $92,000,000 contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs, including $69,000,000 signing bonus, $92,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $11,500,000.
He also made his first ever All Star game in 2024, putting up 40 goals for the 2nd consecutive season and a career-high 98 points.
