Leon Draisaitl is one of the best players in the NHL. Currently, he put up 41 goals and 106 points in 81 Regular Season Games, down from his insane 128 points in the 2022-23 Season.
In 25 Playoff games in which the Oilers fell in the Stanley Cup Finals in 7 games to the Florida Panthers, Draisaitl put up 10 goals and 31 points.
Leon Draisaitl Career Production
Leon Draisaitl was selected 3rd overall in the 2014 NHL Draft by the Edmonton Oilers. The German forward made his NHL debut in the 2014-15 season opener on 9 October 2014 against the Calgary Flames.
In 2016-17, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl led the Oilers to their first playoff appearance since the 2006 season, which they lost in the Stanley Cup Final to the Carolina Hurricanes.
In August of 2017, Leon Draisaitl signed an eight-year, $68 million contract extension with the Oilers worth an annual average cap hit of $8.5 million. An absolute steal of value-wise compared to what he’s going to make on his next contract.
In 2018-19, Leon Draisaitl reached the 50-goal mark in a season for the first time in his career. He’s only done it 2 other times, in 21-22 where he had 55, and 22-23 where he had 52 goals.
In 2020, Draisaitl became the first German player to win the Art Ross Trophy as the leading point scorer in the NHL. The Hart Memorial Trophy as regular season MVP, and the Ted Lindsay Award for most outstanding player.

Final Thoughts
Leon Draisaitl is ranked 6th by ESPN on their Fantasy Hockey rankings.
1. Auston Matthews, C, Tor (C1)
2. Connor McDavid, C, Edm (C2)
3. MacKenzie Weegar, D, Cgy (D1)
4. Nikita Kucherov, RW, TB (RW1)
5. Kirill Kaprizov, LW, Min (LW1)
6. Leon Draisaitl, C, Edm (C3)
Connor McDavid his teammate is the only Edmonton Oiler player above him. Defenseman Evan Bouchard is at #9 and Forward Zach Hyman is at #11. 4 Oilers in the top 11 shows the top-end talent they have, a big reason why they are the Reigning Western Conference Champions.
