Patrick Kane 2024-2025 Fantasy Outlook

Patrick Kane

Patrick Kane is coming off a great first season with the Detroit Red Wings, putting up 20 goals, and 47 points in 50 games, nearly a Point Per Game after missing the start of the season, when Patrick Kane had his right hip surgically repaired six months prior to his debut with the Red Wings vs the San Jose Sharks.

Kane ranked among the team leaders with 20 goals (4th), 27 assists (8th), 47 points (T6th), two power-play goals (T10th), 15 power-play points (7th), three overtime goals (T1st), seven game-winning goals (1st) and 147 shots (6th) in 50 games. Kane joined Ed Jovanovski and Nicklas Backstrom as NHL players to come back from hip resurfacing surgery. The operation involves dislocating the upper end of the thighbone, trimming it, capping it, and removing cartilage before putting it back in place.

Patrick Kane backed off his success in a shorter season for Kane with the Red Wings, He signed a 1 year, $4,000,000 contract with the Detroit Red Wings, including $4,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $4,000,000. In 2024-25, Kane will earn a base salary of $4,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $4,000,000. Kane is a former Calder Memorial Trophy in 2007-08 as the NHL’s top rookie with 22 goals and 72 points, which was the most among rookies in 82 games.

Patrick Kane is a former Hart Trophy winner, winning the award in the 15-16 season with the Chicago Blackhawks, Kane is also a 3x Cup champion winner with Chicago and a Conn Smythe winner in 2013, when the Blackhawks took down the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Final.
