Most Disappointing Sounders players So Far For April 2025

The Sounders have not had the great start everyone wanted this season. Having more losses and draws (three each) than wins (one), and of course, everyone has a little bit of a role as to why that is.

But which Sounders players have been the most disappointing so far? The most obvious one to start us off with is Jesús Ferreira. After watching the tape, he had plenty of concerns after signing in the off-season.

The newest transfer for the Rave Green has had a slow start so far. I did make my hopes and concerns about the signing clear in the off-season, and it looks like my concerns are relevant.  So far, the Colombian-American has dropped in value, going from the 4th most valuable MLS forward as of round four of the 2023 MLS season to the 11th most valued fantasy forward by round six of the season.

The more I watch, the more I feel like Ferreira is the problem this season. Schmetzer has basically done everything he can to get Ferreira into the best possible position to succeed, and he has not been up to the challenge. Stop starting Ferreira; make him earn his spot back. Maybe then he’ll step up. Or perhaps he’s truly damaged goods, and FC Dallas tricked us into a bag; we’ll wait and see.

Cristian Roldan

Next up is the supposed midfield maestro in Cristian Roldan. A player with a long and storied history with the Sounders to say he’s been disappointing would be an understatement. The last game against San Diego was, oh my, ever a stinker for Roldan; I thought he should have been subbed at half the way he was pouting before halftime. His uninspiring 6.89 average rating throughout the year, only having a goal and an assist so far this season in seven total appearances, is unlike the midfielder Seattle has come to know and adore.

Danny Musovski

Not much more to add here; Danny Musovski has been so disappointing this year for the Sounders. Never expected that much from him, only for him to come off the bench and be a sparkplug, but he’s failed to do that this season. In five appearances, he hasn’t had a single goal contribution this season.

I’m done with Musovski. Let’s just cut our losses with him and sign up Osaze De Rosario from Defiance. I mean, when he can do things like THIS, what do we have to lose? Now, that’s a great goal. Meanwhile, Musovski dreams of scoring tap-ins. We can’t keep relying on him to come off the bench and score for us anymore.

Thanks a bunch for reading; I really hope the Sounders turn it around this year. If you loved this article, then please read some others I wrote on the Premier League or on Luka Doncic!
