Week 15 Quarterback DFS Start’em/Sit’em

ravens week 6 week 15

Week 15 of the NFL season is here and we have a couple of huge games in the league in terms of playoff implications in Detroit and Philadelphia this week in the 4:25 slot. Detroit is taking on the Bills and Philadelphia is hosting Pittsburgh in the battle for Pennsylvania this weekend. Those two games are the best games of the week by far. The Quarterback DFS slate is interesting for this week looking down the entire schedule. Here are my picks for this week.

Quarterback Must Starts For Week 15

week 10

Jayden Daniels ($7,500 Draft Kings, $8,700 FanDuel)

Jayden Daniels has had some of the ups and downs in this rookie season especially as of late but is coming off a dominant game against the Titans in Week 13 and now coming off the bye for the first time in his career, against a hot Saints team that can be had in the passing game. Expect Daniels to reach the 20 fantasy point mark again this week in fantasy.

Joe Burrow ($7,300 Draft Kings, $8,600 FanDuel)

Joe Burrow on a short week on the road against Tennessee, normally isn’t a good thing because Tennessee has a good defense. But we are talking about 2024 Joe Burrow, who has been the constant for the Cincinnati Bengals this season. Probably would be the NFL MVP right now if the Bengals’ defense was better. Yeah, start Burrow in DFS this week.

Josh Allen ($8,500 Draft Kings, $9,500 FanDuel)

Allen is coming off a six-touchdown performance in a losing effort in the craziest game of the week in Week 14 in Los Angeles. Some people think he locked up the MVP award, but a certain running back in Philly will have something to say about that going forward. But as for the DFS slate for Week 15, even though Detroit is a tough defense for quarterbacks in fantasy, Josh Allen will create enough HAVOC worthy of a start in DFS.

Quarterback Must Sits For Week 15

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.

CJ Stroud ($6,200 Draft Kings, $7,400 FanDuel)

Miami is the No. 1 defense against quarterbacks in fantasy, and CJ Stroud’s interior line is a problem. Yeah with those two factors in mind, I would sit Stroud in DFS. Houston will control the game with the run, but CJ won’t be the Stroud we know that he can be in the passing game. I expect a pedestrian day for Stroud this weekend.

Anthony Richardson ($5,800 Draft Kings, $7,500 FanDuel)

Richardson is going up against the young talent Broncos defense with still limited ability as a passer in the pocket. Although his running ability might increase his fantasy floor, I think he’ll have multiple turnovers this weekend in Denver which hurts his DFS stock.

Russell Wilson ($5,700 Draft Kings, $7,300 FanDuel )

Philly’s defense is probably the most talented defense that Wilson has faced as the starter this season for the Steelers. This Eagles secondary will be looking to make plays against Wilson, especially with George Pickens probably not playing in this game for the second straight weekend. Don’t start Wilson.

Lock of Week 15

Lamar Jackson ($8,300 Draft Kings, $9,000 FanDuel )

The Giants are a horrible team and they can’t defend the mobile quarterback AT ALL. I expect Lamar Jackson to have full control and dominate the Giants on the ground and in the air as Josh Allen did last weekend in Los Angeles. The potential of Lamar having the huge game is too tempting to not have him in your DFS lineups this week.

Fade of Week 15

Jared Goff ($6,500 Draft Kings, $8,000 FanDuel)

The reason I think Goff is a fade this week is because the volume isn’t going to be there for Goff to put up over 20 points in fantasy this week. Goff will play well but I think he’ll have only 17 fantasy points this week as it will be the running backs that will carry the load for the Lions offense once again this week.

Sleeper of Week 15

Jalen Hurts ($8,000 Draft Kings, $8,500 FanDuel)

Jalen Hurts is going to be a sleeper for me this week, Yes I know Jalen has been a great fantasy quarterback this season, even though the passing production has been up to snuff. But I can only get him up to sleeper status this week because of the Pittsburgh defense. I think Jalen will have a strong 20-plus point fantasy day against the Steelers but might not hit his crazy high potential he could.

Conclusion

In Week 15, we have the start of the fantasy playoffs in redraft leagues and the DFS slate is an interesting chaos, with no bye weeks and intriguing matchups. The quarterback position this year has been consistent in many ways and I expect that to continue in Week 15. Total Apex Fantasy is the place to be for all of the up-to-date fantasy content and DFS picks throughout the remainder of the week.
