It’s officially Week 11 of the NFL season, and there are three huge games this week on the docket, Commanders vs. Eagles, Ravens vs. Steelers, and Chiefs vs. Bills. Those three matchups this week will greatly determine the landscape of the NFL playoff races at the top of the playoff brackets. The quarterback position for DFS this week is deep this weekend and here are my picks for this week’s quarterback DFS plays.
Quarterback Must Starts for Week 11
Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.
Russell Wilson ($5,900 Draft Kings, $7,800 FanDuel )
Russell Wilson has been a revelation for the Pittsburgh Steelers since he’s been inserted into the lineup. Wilson has been averaging 19.6 fantasy points per game on Draft Kings lineups this season. The Ravens have the 31st-ranked defense against QBs in fantasy this season. This should be another successful week for the Steelers QB in Week 11 if everything goes according to plan.
Lamar Jackson ($8,000 Draft Kings, $9,000 FanDuel)
Yes, Lamar Jackson has a tough matchup against the 3rd best pass defense in Pittsburgh this week. But the former Heisman trophy winner will use his legs against Pittsburgh and create problems for that young secondary. If the Ravens can contain TJ Watt and Alex Highsmith on the edges enough, Lamar should have time to find his receivers downfield.
Josh Allen ($7,800 Draft Kings, $8,800 FanDuel)
Josh Allen has been throwing a few interceptions as of late but still has been productive for fantasy purposes. Allen is averaging 20.8 fantasy points per game on Draft Kings this season to this point. The Chiefs will present some issues for Allen, but Allen will overcome those issues enough to warrant a start in DFS fantasy in Week 11.
Quarterback Must Sits for Week 11
On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in Week 11.
Jayden Daniels ($7,500 Draft Kings, $8,600 FanDuel)
Jayden Daniels is coming off his worst fantasy performance of the season in a game where he was in there from start to finish against the Steelers. Daniels had 8.6 fantasy points last weekend, and the fact that Washington has to travel to Philly on a short week doesn’t help either. Philly currently has the fourth-best pass defense against QBs right now in fantasy football. Look for Philadelphia to continue the trend of shutting down offenses this week against the Commanders and the young rookie.
Patrick Mahomes ($6,800 Draft Kings, $7,900 FanDuel)
Patrick Mahomes hasn’t been Patrick Mahomes this season so far and that won’t change this week in Buffalo. Mahomes has been good enough with his touchdown interception ratio being 4 touchdowns and zero interceptions. But Buffalo’s defense has been opportunistic these last few weeks so expect an interception from Mahomes this weekend.
Kirk Cousins ($6,500 Draft Kings, $7,100 FanDuel)
Kirk Cousins is coming into the Denver game off a disappointing loss to the New Orleans Saints in New Orleans. Cousins threw for 306 yards but he threw a pick last week. Denver is coming off a close loss in Arrowhead to the Chiefs last weekend and still currently has the fifth-ranked passing defense in the league right now. Look for Cousins to have some problems this week in this matchup up in Mile High.
Lock of Week 11
Jalen Hurts ($7,900 Draft Kings, $9,300 FanDuel)
Jalen Hurts had his first two turnovers in over a month and still blew out the Dallas Cowboys in Jerry World. Hurts accounted for 4 total touchdowns last weekend, and still had over 31 fantasy points on Draft Kings. This week he faces the 21st-ranked defense to opposing quarterbacks in fantasy in the Commanders. If Jalen has his full assortment of weapons this Thursday Night look for him to continue his hot play and dominate in the Linc in Week 11.
Fade of Week 11
Cooper Rush ($5,000 Draft Kings, $6,500 FanDuel)
Mike McCarthy still has named Cooper Rush as his starting quarterback after only throwing for 46 yards against Philadelphia. Rush has a 5-2 record as a starter with both losses coming to Philly, but the Texans picked off Jared Goff 5 times last Sunday night. The Cowboys quarterback will be a fade once again this week, stay away from Rush at all cost.
Sleeper of Week 11
Bo Nix ($6,200 Draft Kings, $7,400 FanDuel )
Bo Nix is one of those guys that has been sneaky good this last month for the Broncos. Nix had 16.1 fantasy points last week against the Chiefs in his first trip to Arrowhead as Broncos quarterback. In Week 11, Nix is facing the 25th-ranked defense against quarterbacks in fantasy this season in the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons’ defense has allowed offenses to have their best games this season a couple of times this season including both Baker Mayfield games and Bo Nix has the potential to do that. The budget of Nix is also great with the matchup in mind.
Conclusion
Jalen Hurts has officially put himself into the MVP conversation at the moment with his play over the last month and with a huge game with the NFC East in full swing, I expect Jalen Hurts to continue his hot streak. Week 11 also has easy starts in Russell Wilson and Lamar Jackson in that Pittsburgh and Baltimore matchup.
