Tyler Herro 2024-25 Fantasy Outlook

tyler herro

Tyler Herro is entering his sixth year for the Miami Heat. He’s been a starter and the sixth man off the bench for the Miami Heat in his career. Herro is one of those players when healthy can be a sparkplug type of player that wins games with his electric scoring from all three levels of the court. Herro dealt with injuries during the 2023-24 season that forced him only to play 42 games. Let’s look at his production from the 2023-24 season from the 2023-24 NBA season.

Tyler Herro 2023-24 Production

Tyler Herro averaged 20.8 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, and 4.5 assists per game last season for the Heat. The former NBA Sixth Man of the Year had his moments last season in the 42 games played last season including a season-high 33 points on April 9th, 2024 against the Atlanta Hawks. His efficiencies from the field had an uptick from his 2022-2023 efficiencies which was a bright spot.

Herro needs to prove that he can stay healthy this season, perhaps in a bigger role now, between him and Terry Roizer in the backcourt for the Miami Heat. The 2024-25 season is going to be a big one for Herro in terms of production needed because the Heat are going to have to make some decisions about Jimmy Butler, and they need to see what they have in Herro along with others on the team, to see if they need to extend Butler or deal him at the deadline. Here’s a look at the projections for Tyler Herro.

Tyler Herro 2024-25 Projections

Tyler Herro is projected to be the 82nd-ranked overall player in fantasy this upcoming season according to ESPN Fantasy. The stat line projection for Herro is 20.7 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, and 4.3 assists per game with 3.1 threes made per game. The projections are right around how Herro can perform right now. I think Herro has to elevate his game a little bit more from these projections for the Heat to be serious contenders in the East.

Herro has had spurts in him throughout his career where he has been one of the leading scorers for the Heat. He is probably one of the best shooters on the Heat right now alongside Duncan Robinson. Tyler Herro will be a stronger player in his sixth year if he not only stays healthy throughout the season but also if Erik Spoelstra keeps his trust in him as he has throughout most of his career up to this point.

Final Thoughts

Tyler Herro will be a solid play in fantasy this year as a depth piece in rotisserie leagues for your redraft leagues if you use him in the right way in your lineups. Another strong indicator of Herro’s play will be a huge determining factor for his fantasy value is that if his efficiencies will continue to rise or will dip again like the roller coaster that he has had throughout his career.

Also be careful how to use him in the DFS scene as well, because Herro does have his cold stretches as well, but Herro should have mostly good moments throughout this upcoming season as he’ll probably be the third option behind Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler.
