We have officially arrived at Thanksgiving, and the three NFL games on Thanksgiving include Chicago vs. Detroit, Giants vs. Cowboys, and Miami vs. Green Bay in Primetime on NBC. This Thanksgiving’s action should be exciting and fun as always. This year stuff your faces with Turkey while reading this article of the DFS slate of Quarterbacks and see how much money these guys can make for you. Here are my picks for the Thanksgiving slate of games of Week 13 of the NFL season.
Quarterback Must Starts for Thanksgiving
Jared Goff ($6,500 Draft Kings, $8,200 FanDuel)
Starting the day on Thanksgiving, we have the Lions hosting their division rival the Bears on CBS and Jared Goff is the guy to start at the quarterback position. The Bears’ defense has been slumping as of late and the Lions have been consistently one of the most productive offenses all season long. Goff has been averaging 18.4 fantasy points per game this season. I expect Goff to show out in front of the Detroit faithful on Thanksgiving and throw for 2+ touchdowns on Thursday.
Tua Tagovailoa ($6,000 Draft Kings, $8,000 FanDuel )
Yes, the Packers are the seventh-best defense against the pass, and Tua has performed horribly in the cold in his career but in the last two weeks, Tua has had back-to-back 20-point fantasy performances against the Bills and Raiders. I expect Tua to continue that trend on Thursday against a stout Packers defense.
Quarterback Must Sits for Thanksgiving
On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting on Thanksgiving.
Cooper Rush ($4,800 Draft Kings, $6,900 FanDuel)
Cooper Rush has been pedestrian at best since taking over for Dak Prescott due to injury. I think the Cowboys will do well enough on Thanksgiving against the Giants but Rush won’t have more than 18 fantasy points, especially if the Giants defensive line shows up. This is a risky sit for me because of how bad the Giants are but sometimes you take risks in DFS and this is one of those risks.
Lock of Thanksgiving
Jordan Love ($6,300 Draft Kings, $7,500 FanDuel)
Yes, I know the Dolphins are a top-5 passing defense in Football at the moment and yes, Jordan Love is prone to throwing interceptions, which are costly on DFS for sure. But Love is one of those guys who can light it up in the bright lights, look what he did in Jerry World last January, Too Soon Cowboys fans…? I think Love will have a huge day spreading it around in the cold weather of Lambeau Field on Thursday Night.
Fade of Thanksgiving
Drew Lock ($4,500 Draft Kings, $6,400 FanDuel)
The Giants have been one of those teams that have struggled to get their offense going all year long. And the likelihood is that the Giants are going to be on their third quarterback this season with the injury to Tommy Devito. Dallas’s defense saw the return of Daron Bland last week and Micah Parsons is back to wrecking shop in the backfield. Sit Drew Lock this Thanksgiving.
Sleeper of Thanksgiving
Caleb Williams ($5,300 Draft Kings, $7,200 FanDuel)
Since the Bears fired Shane Waldron, Caleb Williams has looked a lot better at the position and has been a solid fantasy option. Meanwhile, this Detroit Lions team has held opponents to ONLY six points in their last two games. I think Chicago will fare a little better than both Jacksonville and Indianapolis. Williams has the ability to light up the early slot because of the weapons he has around him and the new-look offense.
Conclusion
The Thanksgiving Day slate can create a lot of difficult situations for everybody involved and Total Apex is here to help you through the difficulties and situations with these quarterbacks for the multiple DFS Thanksgiving lineup opportunities. Total Apex Fantasy is also the place to be for the rest of the Week 13 slate for the positions and the full game slates as well.
