Total Apex’s NBA Fantasy Recap for the Week of November 25,2024

nba

Last week, the NBA was a shortened week because of the Thanksgiving Holiday. There was one day that was missing from the matchup completely, which probably cost some of y’all in fantasy basketball last week. Overall, the week was good in the NBA association in terms of games being close and down to the wire, but in the fantasy aspects of things, there weren’t any stand-out moments other than a few performances individually. Here’s the highlight from Thanksgiving week in the NBA.

Tyrese Maxey Balled Out

The Sixers have struggled all season long but Tyrese Maxey when healthy has been their most consistent player of the three stars. Maxey, last week, for the Sixers, had 69.0 and 47.5 fantasy points in the two games that they played last week. In the 69-point fantasy game, Maxey had 39 points, 10 assists, 5 steals, and 2 rebounds. Maxey’s value has been up and down this season because of the hamstring injury and the addition of Paul George but if he can continue this trajectory for the rest of the season, LOOK OUT.

Also, I feel that the Sixers need Tyrese Maxey to keep playing like this and Jared McCain to continue his rookie performance so far to get them back into the playoff conversation that this team was supposed to be in which means it should be only good things for Maxey owners going forward.

Jokic is Still the BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA BY FAR

Jokic missed some time this season due to becoming a father for the second time but other than those games missed, he has been one of the most consistent players in the entire league. He still has huge production in fantasy basketball once again, proving why he’s consistently the number-one pick every year.

Jokic is currently averaging 68.9 fantasy points per game this season and is entering this week coming off a 28, 14, and 11 game against the Clippers on Sunday night. I think Jokic is legit the best option in fantasy going forward in 2024-25, it’s him or Wemby right now which I’m about to get to in the next paragraph. To close this point on Jokic, he’s one of those dudes in the game of basketball who is a full Swiss Army Knife out there, especially on the offensive side of the ball and is consistently putting up 50 fantasy points a night. Good luck to anybody going up against him this week in Redraft leagues.

Victor Wembanyama is on Fire Right Now

The French Alien is in his bag right now as he closed the week with an 80.5 fantasy point game with a 34, 14, 11 triple-double against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. In all three games including last week that the Spurs played in, he had above 45 fantasy points in all of them. Wemby did have a slow start to the season for his ADP in redraft leagues but lately has finally gotten the mojo that he was supposed to have to start the season. Wembanyama will continue his hot streak this week as the Spurs have looked good in this recent stretch thanks to Wemby in particular.

Final Thoughts

The NBA is heading to the back stretch of the NBA Cup getting down to the Final 8 teams in the Cup after this week, as well as huge games along the rest of the week as well as December basketball is about to get into full swing. Follow along with Total Apex Fantasy for more DFS and NBA Fantasy advice as we are about to enter the holiday season where even more people want to test their knowledge and try to get lucky and make money.
