Taylor Hall is entering his 2nd season with the Chicago Blackhawks, his first ended in Hall needing to undergo surgery on his right knee and missing the rest of the season.
Taylor Hall had 2 goals and 4 points in 10 games in his very short first season with Chicago.
Taylor Hall was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks by the Boston Bruins, Taylor Hall signed a 4 year, $24,000,000 contract with the Boston Bruins, including a $2,000,000 signing bonus, $24,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $6,000,000. In 2024-25, Hall will earn a base salary of $5,250,000, while carrying a cap hit of $6,000,000.
This move was a cap dump by Boston who was very tight against the salary cap and the Blackhawks needed good players to be around superstar Connor Bedard.
The Blackhawks also received forward Nick Foligno for defensemen Ian Mitchell and Alec Regula.
Taylor Hall Career Production
Taylor Hall says he will be a solid contributor for the Blackhawks this upcoming season.
“I’m really confident I’ll be a solid contributor for the Blackhawks this year,”
“What makes me say that is the hockey I’ve played and the preparation I’ve done this summer. When I get on the ice with some really good NHL players here in Ontario, I know I can be a difference-maker for our team.”
“My full clearance will come when I get back to Chicago and I’m able to show [the Hawks} that I [can] handle contact, which won’t be a problem – I’ve been introducing that slowly this summer,” said Hall. “It’s more of a contact thing, and they want to do that in a controlled setting. It’s hard to do that when they don’t have eyes on me every day.”
Taylor Hall is a former Hart Trophy winner with the New Jersey Devils in 2018, he was the first overall pick by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2010 NHL Draft.
Hall has been named an all-star 5 times in his NHL career so far.
His career high in points in a season was 93 with the Devils in 17-18 and also his career high in goals was the same season at 39.
