Left-hander Framber Valdez takes the mound for the Astros in game three. In his last start against the Texas Rangers, he pitched 7.0 innings, giving up six hits and three earned runs, while striking out eight. This will be Valdez’s second start against the Mariners this season. He dominated Seattle in April, pitching 6.0 innings, giving up only two hits and no earned runs, while striking out eight.

The last two games have been very even. These two teams are very evenly matched, especially with the Houston Astros at home. I’m going to play the pitching matchup today. Woo has been dominated this season, and I expect him to do so again today.
