Saquon Barkley 2025 Redraft Outlook: Another Top 2 Fantasy Finish Incoming in 2025

Saquon Barkley had one of the most historic seasons that a running back has ever had in the history of the league. He broke Terrell Davis’ record for most yards of all time when you include the Postseason numbers. Barkley was probably the biggest impact player for the journey to the Philadelphia Eagles’ second Lombardi Trophy in franchise history, and his fantasy and DFS owners would benefit huge from the impact that Barkley would make on the 2024 season. For the 2025 season, he might have a slight dip in production but should still finish within the Top 5, provided his health.

Barkley had 2,005 rushing yards, 13 rushing touchdowns on 345 carries, he also had 33 receptions for 278 yards and two touchdowns for a total of 355.3 fantasy points on the ESPN fantasy platform. Barkley was also probably one of the most popular DFS picks in 2024 on both DraftKings and FanDuel, where he averaged over 24.5 points per game on DraftKings DFS. Barkley 2024 became even more electric in the playoffs in the earlier rounds, including the standout game in the Divisional Round against the Rams in the Snow.

He had two games over 35 fantasy points in the divisional round and NFC championship games. Barkley is going to be one of those players who could have a huge impact in the 2025 season, like he did in the 2024 season for the Eagles. Here are the 2025 projections for the newly minted Madden 26 Cover Athlete as it was announced on the Monday this was written.

He is currently the 5th Player overall on ESPN Projections (3rd RB). He has the potential to be the No.1 player, as he finished slightly behind Ja’Marr Chase in fantasy production last season. ESPN has the current stat line projection for the 2024 AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year: 1367 rushing yards, 10 rushing touchdowns on 283 carries, and 42 receptions for 328 yards and two touchdowns for a total of 282.72 Fantasy Points.

Fantasy Pros has a lower projection on Barkley currently at this moment with the following statline projection: 1581.4 rushing yards, 10 touchdowns on 301.1 rushing attempts, 40.3 receptions, 314.9 receiving yards, 2.1 touchdowns, and a fumble.

I find these projections a little bit on the conservative side, especially the ESPN projection, as I could see Saquon get to at least 1600 rushing yards again, as this Eagles offensive line is still the best unit in the league, even with the questions at right guard with the departure of Mekhi Becton in the offseason. Barkley is going to be the best running back in fantasy again, in my estimation, even though Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs are higher on ESPN rankings.

Final Thoughts

Barkley is going to avoid the Madden Curse and have another strong fantasy season in 2025 as the Eagles look to repeat as Super Bowl Champions. He is one of those guys who will be one of the standouts in Redraft and DFS once again this season, and people who ignore the Madden Curse are going to benefit hugely from him and will make a good amount of money this season using Barkley in DFS and in Redraft you will have a great opportunity to win your leagues with the former Penn State alum. Total Apex Fantasy Sports will have more articles on NFL Fantasy, with outlooks, and DFS picks throughout the rest of 2025.
