Saquon Barkley just signed a huge two-year 41.2 million extension in March after HIS LEGENDARY 2024 SEASON. That contract was much deserved for the former Penn State Nittany Lion, as he helped the Eagles win the franchise’s second Super Bowl, thanks to probably the greatest running back season to ever happen in the HISTORY of THE NFL. The Eagles have looked like geniuses so far for signing him, and now Barkley is looking to continue that marriage for 2025 and beyond. Here’s a look at Barkley’s fantasy outlook for 2025 and beyond.
Saquon Barkley 2024 Production
Barkley had 2,005 rushing yards, 13 rushing touchdowns on 345 carries, he also had 33 receptions for 278 yards and two touchdowns for a total of 355.3 fantasy points on the ESPN fantasy platform. Barkley was also a highly popular DFS pick in 2024 on both DraftKings and FanDuel, where he averaged over 24.5 points per game on DraftKings DFS. Barkley 2024 became even more electric in the playoffs.
He had two games over 35 fantasy points in the divisional round and NFC championship games. Saquon is going to be one of those players who could have a huge impact in the 2025 season, like he did in the 2024 season for the Eagles. Here’s a look at Barkley’s 2025 projections.
Saquon Barkley 2025 Projections
Barkley is currently the 5th Player overall on ESPN Projections (3rd RB), he has the potential to be the No.1 player, as he finished slightly behind Ja’Marr Chase in fantasy production last season. ESPN has the current stat line projection for the 2024 AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year: 1377 rushing yards, 10 rushing touchdowns on 284 carries, and 42 receptions for 338 yards and two touchdowns for a total of 285.01 Fantasy Points.
I find this projection a little bit on the conservative side, as I could see Saquon get to at least 1600 rushing yards again, as this Eagles offensive line is still the best unit in the league, even with the departure of Mekhi Becton in the offseason.
Saquon is going to be the best running back in fantasy again, in my estimation, even though Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs are higher on ESPN rankings. Look for Barkley to continue his 2024 into 2025 and beyond, and for the beyond, here’s a look at his Dynasty Outlook.
Saquon Barkley Dynasty Outlook
As long as Saquon stays healthy for the rest of his career in Philadelphia, he’s going to be a huge threat in fantasy for years to come because of not only the talent around the star running back, but also the offensive line play that Philadelphia has breed for years under Jeff Stoutland will create opportunities for more home run runs that we saw multiple times from the former Giant in 2024.
Saquon Barkley Dynasty owners were satisfied with the Eagles’ signing of the star running back in 2024 because they knew that they would have a star-studded season fantasy-wise and could see consistent future success for years to come. Just look at the two games against the LA Rams for evidence of my theory that Barkley is going to continue to be the dominant force. Saquon is going to show the ability to be a running back that defies Father Time in terms of running back shelf life, I feel.
Final Thoughts
Saquon is one of those fantasy powerhouses once again this upcoming season and will have the arguments for being the No.1 overall pick amongst many people’s fantasy leagues this upcoming season. Expect Barkley to be one of the most consistent players in fantasy once again and continue that success for the next few years for his Dynasty Owners.
