San Antonio Spurs vs Brooklyn Nets Obvious Starts
Mikal Bridges-SG/SF ($12,900 DK/ $7,800 FD)
He will be able to have another huge impact game against the Spurs. The visitors allow the 25th most fantasy points to his position group and he should easily be able to capitalize. Additionally, he is coming off a 26-point game night. During this performance, he went 5 for 13 from beyond the arc. Bridges are averaging 36.6 FPPG, you need to start him, he’s going to push 40 tonight.
Devin Vassell– PG/SG ($12,600 DK/ $7,400 FD)
The former Florida State Seminole is one of the few consistent scoring options on this team. He’s averaging 32.0 FPPG is is likely to see a majority of the scoring opportunities. Whether it’s him creating chances for himself or lobbing to Victor Wembanyama, he will have another good overall performance from a fantasy perspective.
San Antonio Spurs vs Brooklyn Nets Start ‘Em
Dennis Shroder-PG ($9,600 DK/ $6,200 FD)
The German point guard is expected to make his debut against the San Antonio Spurs for his new team. In the season he is averaging 30.3 minutes as well as 28.6 FPPG. While facing a team that allows the 30th most against guards, you can expect that to go up.
Nic Claxton– C ($12,000 DK/$7,600 FD)
The center is a hustle and bustle machine. Although he’ll likely face off against Wembanyama a bit, he’s going to win some battles tonight. He’s not as skilled, but he’ll be able to use his size to make things tougher for the San Antonio Spurs rookie on both ends of the floor. Additionally, when the French center is out of the game, the drop-off is realistically too much to consider keeping him on your bench. Therefore, he’ll flirt with a 20-point double-double tonight.
San Antonio Spurs vs Brooklyn Nets Sit ‘Em
Ben Simmons– PG/SF ($9,900 DK /$6,600 FD)
This is more of a gut feeling. He could easily get a triple-double, but he just as easily can have a pedestrian off-night. Tonight, he’s probably going to play more like the latter. Especially with all of the new pieces coming in and how clogged the lane will be with Wembanyama lurking, this is too risky at his price range to start tonight.
Lock of the Day
Jeremy Sochan– ($9,000 DK/ $5,900 FD)
Tonight bodes well for his chances to have a big impact. He is going through a small three-game slump, but before that, he showed why he received the nod to the NBA Rising All-Stars challenge. Especially on the offensive glass, he can put up numbers. And while teams are more focused on Wembanyama and Vassell for their scoring, he’ll see plenty of favorable matchups tonight. Over the season he is averaging 26.4 FPPG. The young San Antonio Spurs talent will easily surpass that tonight.
