At age 32, Ryan O’Reilly put up 26 goals and 69 points in 82 regular season games played, he also played 6 playoff games with Nashville who were eliminated by the Vancouver Canucks, he finished the series with 1 goal and 2 points.

Ryan O’Reilly was drafted 33rd overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche.
Ryan O’Reilly became the youngest player in Avalanche history to appear in a regular season game as he made the 2009-10 Opening Night Roster at only 18 years old, he’d actually play 81 games with the Avalanche that season putting up 8 goals and 26 points.
Ryan would also put up 26 points in his sophomore season with the Avalanche in 74 games, 2011-12 was a great season for O’Reilly with 18 goals and 55 points in 81 games, his career high in both categories.
The Lockout season in 2012-13 was a eventful one for O’Reilly, he’d actually sign a 2 year deal with KHL team Metallurg Magnitogorsk in 2012, with an opt-out if he agreed to terms with a new contract with the Avalanche as he was a pending RFA, the lockout ended and he actually continued to play in the KHL but got injured, he’d actually sign a 2 year 10 million dollar deal with the Calgary Flames but the Avalanche matched the offer.
In 2015, the Avalanche traded O’Reilly, Jamie McGinn, to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Nikita Zadorov, forward Mikhail Grigorenko, prospect J. T. Compher and the 31st pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, O’Reilly signed a 7 year contract extension with Buffalo worth $52.5 million, which came into effect during the 2016–17 season.
O’Reilly would once again be traded in 2018, to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Tage Thompson, Vladimír Sobotka, Patrik Berglund, a 2019 1st round pick and a 2021 2nd round pick.
Ryan O’Reilly would win the Stanley Cup that year with the St Louis Blues, he’d also win the Selke Trophy for the best defensive forward in the NHL, O’Reilly became the first player to score a goal in four consecutive Stanley Cup Finals games since Wayne Gretzky in 1985 and he’d win the Conn Smythe Trophy as well.
In 2023, O’Reilly was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs as the St Louis Blues were not a Contender that season, he’d leave the Leafs after the season where he was signed to a four-year, $18 million contract by the Nashville Predators.
