This game in the Bronx on Tuesday night as the Yankees and Royals are going to have some fun fireworks as these two offenses are electric, as each team has plenty of firepower up and down throughout the lineup with stars like Aaron Judge, Jazz Chisholm Jr. for New York, and Salvador Perez and Bobby Witt Jr. for the Royals. This game has plenty of opportunities for great picks for DFS lineups on Tuesday evening. Here are my picks for this game.
Kansas City Royals vs. New York Yankees DFS Start ‘Ems
Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. ($5,600 DraftKings, $3,200 FanDuel)
Chisholm Jr. had another home run in the Yankees’ 4-1 win on Monday night as he went 1-4 on the night with that home run. The Yankees’ second baseman is not hitting for a great average, but is still being productive in fantasy, with his six home runs and 11 RBIs on the season leading to close to 10 FPPG at this very moment on DraftKings.
Bobby Witt Jr. ($5,800 DraftKings, $4,000 FanDuel )
Witt Jr. brought in the only run for Kansas City with a home run in that game for the Royals in the loss on Monday. Witt Jr had a slow start to the season but has heated up over the last couple of weeks in fantasy production as he has averaged 10.2 fantasy points on DraftKings this season. Look for Witt Jr. to have another decent day at the plate, even though Max Fried has been dealing thus far.
Aaron Judge ($6,400 DraftKings, $4,600 FanDuel )
Aaron Judge is still Aaron Judge, and as long as he is in the Yankees lineup, you start him, no matter what! Judge, thus far this season, has averaged 14.1 FPPG on DraftKings with six home runs and 20 RBIs with a 1.213 OPS in April so far. The Yankees Right Fielder was just named captain of Team USA for the 2026 WBC, and he looks to continue to prove why he was named captain in this series against the Royals.
Kansas City Royals vs. New York Yankees DFS Sit ‘Ems
On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.
Salvador Perez ($4,000 DraftKings, $2,900 FanDuel)
Perez has struggled a bit this season for the Royals. The 2015 World Series MVP is only hitting .203 with two home runs and nine RBIs on the season thus far in 2025. Perez’s age is slowly catching up with him as the struggles have gotten to him and some of the other Royals thus far, as a preseason trendy pick to win the AL Central is currently middle of the pack right now because of struggles from their star catcher. So, until Perez gets back to typical Salvador Perez production, I would stay away from him in DFS right now.
Cavan Biggio ($2,500 DraftKings, $2,200 FanDuel)
This spot is for all of the Royals’ outfielders currently, as the whole unit has struggled to do anything in fantasy as a whole. Biggio was put in the lineup to try to jump-start something, but the production is just not there currently. So Bench Biggio and the rest of the KC Outfield in General in DFS on Tuesday.
Total Apex Lock of the Game
Max Fried ($9,500 DraftKings, $10,200 FanDuel)
Fried has been as advertised for the Yankees, as he has averaged over 23 FPPG on DraftKings with 38.8 Fantasy Points in his last outing in Detroit. Fried is 2-0 with a 1.56 ERA with 21 strikeouts, and a 1.21 WHIP. I love Fried in this spot for the Yankees on Tuesday as he looks to continue the trend from his last two starts against another AL Central team.
Total Apex Fade of the Game
Michael Wacha ($7,100 DraftKings, $8,000 FanDuel)
Wacha has been okay to below average this season with 9.7 fantasy points per game on DraftKings, with a 4.20 ERA with 11 strikeouts in his three starts. I think the Yankees are going to use the four home runs on Monday night to expose Wacha to drive in a bunch of runs in Yankee Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Conclusion
The Yankees are going to get the win once again, in my estimation, against the Royals on Tuesday, with Judge, Chisholm Jr., Fried, and Austin Wells all having big DFS days for the Yankees on Tuesday. Witt Jr. is going to continue his strong season on Tuesday as he is probably going to have another multi-hit game for the Royals. Total Apex Fantasy is the place to be for MLB DFS throughout the rest of the 2025 season, as well as NBA DFS throughout the 2025 NBA season that technically starts with the Play-In Games on Tuesday and Wednesday.
