Ravens vs. Chargers Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em DFS| Week 12

The Harbaugh Bowl will be a fun one for DFS on Monday Night. With both defenses showing their flaws recently, this could be a game where you start anyone you can. However, the Ravens defense did have their best game last week, while the Chargers defense had its worst performance last Thursday Night. Los Angeles will host Baltimore in a pivotal AFC primetime spot, as the Steeler’s loss against the Browns on Thursday gives the Ravens a chance to take the AFC North.

Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.

Zay Flowers ($6.7K DraftKings, $7.4K Fanduel)

Second-year receiver Zay Flowers is in the top 5 for total receiving yards this season, which is a surprising stat due to his hot and cold nature. The Baltimore Ravens offense does try to be run-first, however, rely on the play-action pass often in the middle of games. Flowers still has enough schemed-up looks and can break a big play deep on crossers or can take a short gain for way more. With the attention on Henry, I wouldn’t be surprised if he pops off again this week.

Will Dissly ($3.5K DraftKings, $5.1K Fanduel)

Will Dissly has been a reliable tight-end target for Herbert, as he has been the safety valve that has gotten serious red-zone looks. The Ravens may be without Roquan Smith, and already, they are weak defending tight ends. The volume has been steady each week with 4 or 5 targets per game with the potential for more than 50 yards if the opportunity arises. His price target also makes it an easy start over the Raven’s trio of tight ends.

Ravens vs. Chargers DFS Sit ‘Ems

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.

Rashod Bateman ($4.3K DraftKings, $5.5K Fanduel)

Rashod Bateman is on pace for a career season, however, he missed practice on Friday due to a knee injury. Even though he should be active for Monday Night, this could be a spot for Flowers, Nelson Agholor, and finally Diontae Johnson to flash in primetime. Can’t forget about Tylan Wallace if Bateman is either out or in and out of the lineup on some sort of snap count.

Josh Palmer ($4.9K DraftKings, $5.5K Fanduel)

Although Josh Palmer had a few great games last season, this year, he has been third in the pecking order of their wide receivers. The Los Angeles Chargers have gotten others more involved, as Palmer only gets about 2-3 looks a game as a receiver. Even in a good matchup against the Baltimore Ravens secondary and his price tag, I still would start Johnston or Ladd McConkey since they have been more involved recently.

Total Apex Lock of the Game

Quentin Johnston ($4.9K DraftKings, $6.1K Fanduel)

The second-year receiver has been a revelation for the Chargers, along with the rookie McConkey in the slot. Johnston has been a dangerous big-bodied receiver on the outside with his speed and has gotten a good number of red zone looks, with 3 touchdowns in the last three games. Both former first-round receivers Johnston on the Chargers and Flowers on the Ravens could have big nights on Monday.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Mark Andrews ($4.1K DraftKings, $5.4KFanduel)

With Isaiah Likely back healthy last week, Mark Andrew’s snaps went down, as he was relying on the touchdowns for fantasy. Although he is relatively cheap, I prefer Dissly to Andrews, as the Ravens have a plethora of options to go around in the passing game that could see the same amount of targets. Likely could see his snap rate go up, as he was more involved compared to Andrews last week.

Conclusion

Both Lamar Jackson and Justin Herbert are easy starts even at their price points, but I guess I would lean towards Herbert salary-wise due to the weaker defensive matchup. The same goes for Derrick Henry and J.K. Dobbins, as the Chargers have close to a top-10 run defense while the Ravens have the second-best run defense. However, it did get exposed against the Pittsburgh Steelers, while the Chargers got torched through the air against the Cincinnati Bengals last week. Henry has been money all season and has at least gotten a touchdown other than a single game.
