The Packers head to Tennessee to take on the Titans. The Titans look to avoid an 0-3 start to the season after firing Head Coach Mike Vrabel for underperforming. The Packers have yet to rule out Jordan Love to start the game but it is looking unlikely for him to play this week. Can Malik Willis keep the Packers rolling in Love’s absence or will the Titans be able to find offensive consistency and protect their home field?
Packers vs Titans DFS Start ‘Ems
Calvin Ridley, WR, Tennessee Titans (DraftKings $13.5K, FanDuel $12.5K)
Ridley looks to build off the momentum from his performance last week in the loss to the Jets where he caught four passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. Ridley has been the best deep ball threat for the Titans offense so far this season averaging 18.1 yards per reception. The Titans will want to lean on their passing game to force the Packers to make Willis pass to keep up with them. This should provide plenty of opportunity for Ridley to have some big plays in this game.
Green Bay D/ST ( DraftKings $7.2K, FanDuel $8.5K)
The Packers defense only allowed 10 points against the Colts last week with 10 days to prepare for the game. Look for Green Bay to lean on their defense and their running game as long as starting quarterback Jordan Love is out with an injury. The Titans have struggled on offense so far this season only scoring 17 points in each of their first two outings. Following this trend, it makes sense to make room in your DFS budget for the Packers defense this week.
Packers vs Titans DFS Sit ‘Ems
Will Levis, QB, Tennessee Titans ( DraftKings $12.3K, FanDuel $13K)
Levis has yet to throw for 200 yards and has at least one interception in each of the first two games this season. The Packers defense isn’t as good as the Bears or Jets, but they have shown flashes this season of being good enough to stop an offense with a dirth of weapons. Unfortunately for the Titans, they fit into this category. If the Packers can limit the big play ability of Ridley, it is going to be a rough day for Levis and the Titans offense.
Tony Pollard, RB, Tennessee Titans ( DraftKings $15K, FanDuel $15K)
Pollard is only averaging 4.4 yards per carry through the first two games of the season. He is the clear lead back in the Titans backfield over Tyjae Spears with at least 16 carries in each of the first two games. If the Titans want to beat the Packers it won’t be by running the ball and controlling the clock, they will want to air it out and try to run up the score quickly forcing the Packers to rely on the arm of Willis to catch up. If the Titans have their way in this game, it won’t be fantasy-friendly for Pollard.

Josh Jacobs, RB, Green Bay Packers ( DraftKings $16.2K, FanDuel $16K)
The Packers told us what their game plan is while Jordan Love is out, they want to let Josh Jacobs run over everyone’s defense. They gave Jacobs 32 carries last week resulting in 151 yards. It was a little surprising they didn’t give more opportunities to the other backs with how much they wanted to run it. Look for the Packers to do the same thing until someone can stop Jacobs. He may not get 32 carries again but he doesn’t need that many carries to have a productive day for fantasy managers.
Total Apex Fade of the Game
Malik Willis, QB, Green Bay Packers ( DraftKings $12K, FanDuel $14K)
Willis doesn’t have much of a track record as a starting quarterback in the NFL but usually relies on his legs to get the job done as opposed to his arm. He has a career passer rating of 63.3 which is only slightly above average. The Packers are going to want to run the ball as much as possible and limit the possibility of having to rely on Willis to win the game for them. If the Packers have their way on Sunday, the game script won’t allow for much of a ceiling for the fantasy impact of the young quarterback.
