Nico Collins is definitely a name fantasy football players should have in their minds going into their drafts. The Michigan alum is coming off of what could have been a great year.
Unfortunately, Collins had a leg injury halfway through the season that kept him off the field for a while. He still managed to get top five in yards per game in the 2024-2025 season.
Going into his fifth year, Collins might be the best wide receiver that isn’t in that elite group of household names like Ja’Marr Chase and Tyreek Hill.
Nico Collins 2024 Stats and Fantasy Production
The most impressive stat Collins has from last year would be his 83 yards per game. This was only behind Puka Nacua, Justin Jefferson, and Ja’Marr Chase. Almost all of the other stats for Nico Collins’ year need to be taken with a grain of salt: he only played half the season.
Therefore, Collins is outside of the top 20 for total yards and total receptions. In general, judging by the gameplay, Collins remained C.J. Stroud‘s favorite target throughout the season. Collins was the deep threat, even though Stefon Diggs was also on the team.
Nico Collins 2025 Fantasy Outlook
Collins has even more opportunity to lead the league in receiving next year because he will have less competition. Instead of Stefon Diggs, Christian Kirk will be playing alongside Collins. Kirk will probably demand fewer long balls, allowing Collins to dominate that deep throw role completely.
The only threat to Collins’ performance is, surprisingly, the offensive line. If C.J. Stroud gets another 56 sacks next season, then he won’t be throwing the ball to Collins too often. Although the Texans did draft an offensive lineman in the second round, they also lost veteran Laremy Tunsil to the Commanders.
As of right now, The Game Day has Nico Collins ranked number 3 for wide receivers. In many actual drafts, though, Collins might be ignored in favor of other names like Tyreek Hill, Amon Ra St. Brown, or CeeDee Lamb. If Collins is still on the board by the end of the first round or the beginning of the second, that’s a perfect opportunity to take him.
If he averages 83 yards per game again, with his ability to catch touchdowns, Collins should be giving teams north of 25 points each week. Any players who decide to take a running back with their first-round pick might want to look for Nico Collins in the second round.
