NHL Auston Matthews

The NHL is coming out of the All-Star break and starting to get ramped back up. It is a small slate tonight, with only three games on the docket. Let’s dive into some of the game lines and player props we like for the evening. This NHL betting content for Total Apex Sports is brought to you by “The Stew with JT Brew” podcast and their NHL Around the Ice segment, which comes to you every Wednesday. Minnesota Wild (-205) at Chicago Blackhawks (+170) over/under goals 5.5

https://gty.im/1958544882

If you have listened to the show lately, one of our favorite bets recently has been taking the Chicago Blackhawks at +1.5 goals. While the Blackhawks are the worst team in the NHL record-wise, they have continually kept games close by grinding throughout the game. They have also gotten really good goalie play from Petr Mrazek. He has given up two goals or less in eight of his last nine starts. Mrazek has 2.92 goals against average this season with a saves percentage of .910%.

Bet – Chicago +1.5 (-155) and under goals 5.5 (-105) as individual bets a two-pick parlay at (+170) on DraftKings.

Tampa Bay Lightning (+100) at New York Rangers (-120) under/over goals 6.5

The Tampa Bay Lightning have been one of the best first-period scoring teams in the league this year, but they have struggled to score against the New York Rangers of late. The Rangers have really brought the heat against the Lightning in their last couple of matchups. I think we will see some goals early in this one.

The players I like to get in on the scoring mix are Chris Kreider and Mika Zibenejad. The top line for the Rangers has been good against the Lightning lately, so I want to try to take advantage of that.

Bet – First Period goals over 1.5 (-134) on Fanduel. Kreider over 0.5 points (-145) and Zibenejad (-180) as a two-pick parlay at (+120) on DraftKings.

Dallas Stars (+110) at Toronto Maple Leafs (-130) over/under 6.5

https://gty.im/1993208669

The Dallas Stars are playing a back-to-back game here, meaning Scott Wedgewood draws the start in the goal. He has struggled against the Maple Leafs, giving up an average of four goals per game in his last five starts. William Nylander has had a good season but is in a slight slump for him. I think he gets things going tonight. I also like Auston Matthews for an anytime goal. He has nine goals in his last nine games.

Bet – Toronto ML (-130). Nylander over 0.5 assists (-190) Auston Matthews Anytime Goal (-125) can be taken as individual bets or a two-pick parlay at (+134) on DraftKings
