After that awful double-hitter Monday night football matchup, Week 4 of the NFL season has finished. When looking at it via survivor pools, a lot of the top picks took care of business. It is now time to recap the recommendations I gave on the Top 5 options to pick for Week 3.
1 Buffalo Bills (vs. New Orleans Saints)
Was it ugly, yes, but no surprise here at all, they were the safe pick in Survivor. Not gonna waste time, the Bills took care of business against the awful Saints, winning 31-19.
2. Denver Broncos (vs. Cincinnati Bengals)
The Bengals are done. The moment Joe Burrow went down with that toe injury, kill this team. Jake Browning is terrible, and it doesn’t help that they arguably have the worst defense in the NFL. Honestly, Zac Taylor is probably one of the more overrated coaches in the NFL, too, and this Bengals team is just lost. Denver did what they had to do and took care of business.
3. Detroit Lions (vs. Cleveland Browns)
Now there is the Detroit Lions we all know. Remember in Week 1 when everyone thought this team was done. Well, those days are long gone, speaking of done. Joe Flacco stink so it’s time to look at the future and give Dillon Gabriel or Shedeur Sanders a chance at starting. As this article was uploading, it sounds like Gabriel will be starting in Week 5.
4. Green Bay Packers (at Dallas Cowboys)

Yeah, there are some real problems with Green Bay as they tied 40-40 against the Dallas Cowboys, who were trying to gift them a victory. The defense is a tremendous problem for the Packers, and they need to get their act together.
Now with a Tie, what happens in Survivor for you? Well, honestly, it depends on your specific pool rules. Some leagues count ties as you being eliminated, and others count it as you advancing. Most pools have it losing, but I believe that it should count as you surviving. I picked Green Bay in Survivor for Week 4 and am going to count it as surviving, as I am in a lot of pools that count ties as wins. I’m going to highlight the Packers, Blue, in my top 5 options pieces, so it signifies a tie.
5. Houston Texans (vs. Tennessee Titans)
Coming into this game was a completely risky pick because both of these teams are awful. However, the Titans might have the worst head coach in the NFL by a country mile, and they have to get rid of that guy. He is harming Cam Ward’s development, and Ward was awful in this game. Ward was blunt about how awful they were. The Texans were such a great pick in survivor as they have a ton of problems, and it’s hard to trust them until Week 11 against the Titans or Week 16 against the Raiders.
Final Thoughts: 4-0-1 This Week In Survivor
Another successful week of recommendations. Well, unless your pools count ties as eliminated with the Packers, but they shouldn’t. Keep track for Week 5 as the Top 5 options piece is coming soon.
