Philadelphia Eagles vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 4 DFS Showdown, September 28, 2025

Eagles

One of the bigger matchups of the NFL Week 4 slate for the 2025 Season is the 3-0 Philadelphia Eagles traveling to face the 3-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The injuries concern for Tampa Bay led by the Hamstring injury for Mike Evans, who’s going to be sidelined for multiple weeks.

Baker Mayfield, Tristin Wirfs, and Chris Godwin are all playing, with Wirfs and Godwin making their season debuts. Philadelphia is healthy other than Adoree Jackson, so look for Keele Ringo to start opposite Quinyon Mitchell with Jackson and Jakorian Bennett sidelined. With all of the injury reports out of the way, here are my DFS picks for this matchup this week.

The Eagles finally got AJ Brown going last week in the second half, where he took over that game against the Rams late. I think Philadelphia is going to have to do a similar thing this week with using the pass to set up the run, and be more of a passing team against a great Buccaneers run defense. Look for Brown to be the focal point of this Eagles attack once again this week.

Start ‘Em

Philadelphia Eagles

(3-0)

($6,800 DraftKings, $7,000 FanDuel)

Egbuka’s value has been great for lineups this season so far, as he has been the most productive offensive rookie thus far in Fantasy, averaging 17.0 FPPG on DraftKings this season. Egbuka’s targets should go up with Evans out and Godwin probably on limited snaps with this being his season debut. The only concern is Baker’s biceps injury, but if Mayfield can throw, I think Egbuka is a great play this week in DFS.

Philadelphia Eagles

Devonta Smith

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

(3-0)

($5,400 DraftKings, $6,600 FanDuel)

I really think Philadelphia’s passing game is going to be a key in this game, and by this feeling, I also think Smitty is worthy of a start as a budget option, especially. I think Smith could get a solid 12-18 Fantasy points in Tampa Bay on Sunday. This is my best play of the week in this game. I love the Eagles’ no. 2 WR this week against a Buccaneers secondary that has been inconsistent so far this season, especially when you look at the film from the Week 1 Matchup against Atlanta.

Sit ‘Em

Philadelphia Eagles

Saquon Barkley

Philadelphia Eagles

AT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

(3-0)

($7,600 DraftKings, $8,700 FanDuel)

The Eagles’ star running back is normally a good stud, play a lot of the time, but I think this Tampa Bay game is going to be another case like the Rams game last week, because Todd Bowles is going to force Philadelphia to beat his team through the air and take away Barkley. He’ll get opportunities, and one home run touchdown run can prove me wrong, and as a Philly fan, I would LOVE IT. But smart money is on other running back matchups this week, like Omarion Hampton vs the Giants.

Philadelphia Eagles

Dallas Goedert

Philadelphia Eagles

AT

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

(3-0)

($3,900 DraftKings, $5,100 FanDuel)

This is strictly because of the Tampa Bay linebackers and so far this season they haven’t allowed many points to the Tight End position so far this season. I think Goedert is underrated and a good budget option if you’re in a bind, but only if you’re in a bind. I wouldn’t go out of my way to play Goedert this week against that Linebacker unit in the pass coverage. I also respect Antoine Winfield Jr’s ability in pass coverage as well a lot of the time.

Fade of the Game

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

VS

Philadelphia Eagles

(3-0)

($6,500 DraftKings, $7,700 FanDuel)

Although I think Egbuka is going to have a good game at receiver, I’m fading the Tampa Bay gunslinger. Mayfield has had a lot of turnover-worthy plays so far this season, but hasn’t turned the ball over that much, and I think Philadelphia can force the timely takeaways when needed. Also, I’m concerned about the Biceps injury that he has heading into this game as well. Normally, I would be all over Baker in DFS, but this is not the week to play him at all, and expect to make money when you have options at quarterback like Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Jalen Hurts available this week, and other budget options like Caleb Williams vs Vegas as well.
