From the cusp of winning another Super Bowl to not making the playoffs is a tale as old as time for the Kansas City Chiefs and their dynasty ending. Kansas City has been having a poor season with their offense struggling with poor game planning and poor play from their receivers and run game. The Chiefs’ run game has been non-existent with Kareem Hunt and Isaiah Pacheco having poor seasons.
Now, without Mahomes for the rest of the season, the Chiefs’ offense could face more regressions. Kansas City’s defense has been playing well by allowing less than 19 points per game, but they need to rely on their offense, and it has been a nightmare, especially in their loss against the Chargers, to knock them out of the playoffs.
Tennessee Titans
While the Kansas City Chiefs are a dysfunctional team this season, they are facing a literally dysfunctional organization in the Tennessee Titans. The Titans this season have been a disaster with firing their head coach in the middle of the season, owners meddling in their affairs, and potentially ruining their top prospect in Cam Ward in a disaster of a rookie campaign.
Tennessee’s offense is ranked in the bottom pack of the NFL due to its ineffectiveness in running and throwing the ball. The Titans’ defense, while a solid unit in name only, has been awful, allowing nearly 30 points a game. This Titans team has been a disaster, and bettors should not touch them, even with their last loss, due to their ineffectiveness in anything good.
Prediction
It’s an easy choice for bettors for this game, and while the Kansas City Chiefs have been inconsistent, they are not the Tennessee Titans. Kansas City has an elite defense that could shut down the Titans’ offense, especially with a rookie quarterback at the helm. While the Titans could fight back, the Chiefs could easily win and cover due to how the Titans are a poorly run organization.
