Giants vs. Vikings DFS Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em 09/08/204

New York Giants

Last night was the NFL kickoff and this Sunday’s game for the New York Giants DFS could help fans win cash prizes. With the season starting this weekend, the New York Giants could have a solid offensive player to start the game off right.

Along with the Giants’ offense, a Vikings player could do well. There are also trap players that are enticing but could harm your DFS statistics for the game. Minnesota’s players could have a weak game from a fantasy player’s perspective.

Fantasy players for this New York Giants vs. Minnesota Vikings, DFS game, could have a fun time to start the season.

To start today’s New York Giants DFS game this coming Sunday, these Giants players from the receiving core could do well against the Vikings secondary. There is also a player for the Vikings that could do well in today’s game. These fantasy players could help you win today’s cash prizes.

Darius Slayton, Wide Receiver, New York Giants (4,400-DraftKings/4,200-Fanduel)

A player to start your New York Giants DFS game is Darius Slayton for the G-Men. Last season Slayton had four touchdowns, with three in his previous three games.

Slayton has been a solid number-two receiver for the Giants and has done well against the Vikings secondary. In a home game against the Vikings, fantasy players should take Slayton for this match-up.

Brandon Powell, Wide Receiver, Minnesota Vikings (3,200-DraftKings/4,300-Fanduel)

A surprise player who could be on your DFS radar is Brandon Powell of the Vikings. Powell in his last three games in the 2023 season had a combined 55 receiving yards, three receptions, and no touchdowns.

With Jordan Addison dealing with injury and personal demons, Powell could emerge as a solid backup. Powell last season averaged 11.2 yards receiving and finished with 1 touchdown, along with 324 yards on 29 catches.

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one during the beginning of the season for both teams.

Aaron Jones, Running Back, Minnesota Vikings (6,500-DraftKings/6,800-Fanduel)

A player that should be on the fantasy bench Sunday, is Aaron Jones of the Vikings. Last season, Jones had two touchdowns and rushed for 656 yards. With an improved New York Giants defensive front, Jones could struggle against the defense.

Jones could struggle heavily with a new offensive system and might have a weak game against the Giants. Fantasy players should bench Jones to win today’s fantasy pools.

Devin Singletary, Running Back, New York Giants (5,700-Draftkings/6,300-Fanduel)

Devin Singletary of the New York Giants could also have a rough game for fantasy players. Singletary last season had a solid one with four touchdowns and 898 rushing yards.

This season could be rough with the Giants’ offensive line being unreliable at times and could have a weak game.  With a weak offensive line, Singletary could struggle against the Vikings defense.

Total Apex Lock of the Game

Wan’Dale Robinson, Wide Reciever, New York Giants (4,200-DraftKings/4,700-Fanduel)

For the Total Apex lock of the game, it is New York Giants wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson. Robinson has been solid in his last three games in 2023 with a rushing touchdown, and a combined 100+ yards.

Minnesota’s defense is solid but flawed with their secondary being weak and could have a 50+ receiving game. Robinson could have a breakout season and could help fantasy players win today’s pool prizes.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Sam Darnold, Quarterback, Minnesota Vikings (5,200-DraftKings/6,700 Fanduel)

The Total Apex fade of the game will be Sam Darnold of the Vikings. Last season, Darnold was mediocre in the games played. Darnold had two touchdowns with 297 passing yards in the limited playing time.

The Giants’ defense has been solid in the past two seasons and has done well against Minnesota’s offensive line. Darnold could have a weak game with a possible interception against this Giants defense.

Conclusion

With the NFL Kickoff happening on Sunday, this single-game NFL DFS could help fantasy players win. The New York Giants receiving core could have a solid game against the Vikings.

Last season, Slayton, and Robinson were solid and could have breakout seasons for the Giants. Against a weak Vikings secondary, they could help fantasy players win today’s pools against the aging core.

While the Vikings offense is still solid, their defense has questions and it could get exploited in Sunday’s game. This Giants team while not great could help players win this DFS game against the Minnesota Vikings.
