It’s an NBA Wednesday, which means a full slate of games are on tap for tonight! For NBA DFS, this means plenty of players to choose from. However, the challenge on the nights where there is a full slate is to figure out who to start and who to pass on.

NBA DFS Must Starts
Paolo Banchero
This is your safe and boring play for NBA DFS tonight. Banchero has been one of the most productive players in daily fantasy this season, consistently getting solid production night in and night out. Tonight, he faces a Warriors team that hasn’t done well against power forwards this season.
In the one game that Banchero played against the Warriors this season, the second-year player had 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists. Banchero likely won’t drop 40 on this team, but he has a great floor with around 50 fantasy points.
Jaren Jackson Jr.
The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off of a double-overtime game against the Milwaukee Bucks. I like Jackson Jr. to have a big game against the tired legs of the Lakers. It isn’t just the schedule that makes me want to start the talented center.
In the last ten games, he has averaged 22.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. He is also averaging 2.0 blocks in the last four games. With how many injuries the Grizzlies are dealing with, Jaren Jackson Jr. should get plenty of opportunities to score points in NBA DFS.
Donte DiVincenzo
I’m riding the wave of scoring that DiVincenzo is putting out. The Knicks have had back-to-back games against inferior competition. DiVincenzo has been feasting. He dropped 31 against the Brooklyn Nets and then followed it up with 40 against the Detroit Pistons.
The Knicks run into a Raptors team that is also banged up and heading in the wrong direction. New York should ride the hot hand and give DiVincenzo plenty of good looks tonight. Take advantage in NBA DFS.
NBA DFS Sits And Fades
The Los Angeles Lakers Roster
I loved the Lakers roster last night. D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves stepped up in LeBron’s absence. Anthony Davis was spectacular on both ends of the court, and the rest of the role players stepped up in big moments. They won in double-overtime and now head to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies. I’m staying away from this team in NBA DFS because of the schedule.
There will be tired legs Wednesday night. LeBron James might be a good play, considering he did not play last night, but this is a classic trap game. The Lakers might not lose, but they might come out flat, which suppresses their DFS value. With how many games there are tonight, you can find value elsewhere.
Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant has been a staple of NBA DFS for years. This year is no different, but recently, Durant hasn’t had the output you’d expect from the superstar player. In the last seven games, he is averaging 19.8 points. I did the math twice because I didn’t believe it. An average of under 20 points for Kevin Durant! Seven games is a fairly good sample size as well.
While I wouldn’t fault anyone for playing Kevin Durant in NBA DFS, he has consistently underperformed in the past few weeks. For the price you are likely going to pay for him, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.
Jalen Green
Green has been one of the hottest players in the league. He may even have helped you win some days of NBA DFS, thanks to his lower price. I am riding with Green in the long run, but tonight, I am fading him. The Oklahoma City Thunder have good perimeter defenders in Lou Dort, Josh Giddey, and Cason Wallace. They can switch and give Green problems.
Furthermore, in the three games the two teams have played, Jalen Green has averaged 14.0 points and 2.7 assists per game. His three-point shooting percentage is below 30% for those three games. Green is also becoming more expensive as the DFS sites work to correct his value. Sit Green just for tonight.
