NBA DFS Thursday brings us an eight-game main slate in the association tonight. The Coach is here with his starting five and authentic insight from ‘inside the ropes. ‘ The NBA’s daily fantasy landscape is ever-changing, with last-minute injury designations and load management. Wednesday night’s recap: FanDuel’s $10k main slate pay line finished at 331.5 points. The starting five was solid, producing 200.2 fantasy points with multiple players hitting the 5x or better mark.
The starting lineup is designed to provide a core five around which you can construct your NBA DFS builds. We strive to recommend players who have the potential to be less owned and make an NBA DFS roster different from the masses. Your prominent studs are not always mentioned, and the fantasy point-per-game averages referenced are those across FanDuel scoring. See who the coach has in his NBA DFS starting lineup this evening.
NBA DFS Starting Guards
Colby White ($8.3k DraftKings and $8.2k FanDuel)
Colby White will be the floor general tonight and start at point guard. There are multiple solid options tonight, but White gets the nod. He will play in the often talked-about green light fantasy environment. The Lakers-Bulls tilt 238 implied game is tied for the second-highest and comes with a competitive 3.5-point game spread. White, a DFS combo guard, is averaging 47.3 fantasy points over his last three games. Please note two additional factors: White is a GTD, as is his back court teammate Josh Giddey. Be sure to monitor this situation as it gets closer to tip-off.
Spencer Dinwiddie ($6.7k DraftKings and $6.8k FanDuel)
Spencer Dinwiddie is another DFS combo guard who will be in the starting lineup this evening. We are concerned about the implied game total in this game, but Dinwiddie’s usage rate has been rock solid. Across his last five games, he is averaging 35.6 minutes, 41.1 fantasy points and 9 dimes. He should be a solid mid-tier DFS volume play for us tonight.
Bench Options: Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyler Herro, Tyrese Haliburton
NBA DFS Starting Forwards
Desmond Bane ($9.2k DraftKings and $8.7k FanDuel)
Going back to Desmond Bane at small forward tonight. He was a DFS start Tuesday night and delivered just under 40 fantasy points. Bane should continue to see solid usage with Ja Morant set to miss his sixth straight start with a hamstring injury. Over his last five outings, Bane is averaging 41.48 fantasy points with two games north of 50.
Alex Sarr ($6.4k DraftKings and $6.7k FanDuel
Going right back to Alex Sarr in the starting lineup. He started at center last night and delivered 41.4 fantasy points. Sarr, eligible at center also, will be the power forward, giving us additional exposure to the Pacers-Wizards game. Washington will need a presence from Sarr as he is set to match up against Myles Turner. Before last night’s stellar outing, Sarr had posted at least 31 fantasy points in seven of his last eight contests.
NBA DFS Starting Center
Myles Turner ($6.5k DraftKings and $7.1k FanDuel)
Bench Options: Alperen Sengun, Bam Adebayo, Jarrett Allen
Final Thoughts
The obvious studs are not always mentioned. Our bench options provide followers, much the same as a coach, additional green light plays, last-minute injury replacements, and flexibility for your NBA DFS build. We strive to balance studs and value plays that may be potentially less owned. Pay attention to implied team and game totals and try to get roster exposure to those games.
The top DFS builds will consist of the right balance between studs and value options that pay at least 5x-6x their salaries. Good luck with your roster builds, and please like and follow us on social media. Please double-check our player recommendations once all inactives are announced.
