Tuesday night in the NBA DFS landscape brings us a seven-game slate in the association. The Coach is here with his starting five to give authentic insight from ‘inside the ropes’. The NBA’s daily fantasy landscape continues to change, especially as we approach the league’s trade deadline. We see almost nightly examples of last-minute injury designation and load management rest. For reference, last night’s $12k main slate contest pay line on FanDuel was 325.1 points. This gives us a targeted baseline for our player recommendations within our player recommendations.
Our starting lineup is designed to provide core players with which to construct your DFS lineups. We strive for players who have the potential to be less owned and give us a lineup different from the masses. The fantasy point-per-game averages referenced are those across FanDuel scoring rules. Who gets the green light from the Coach tonight?
DFS Guards
Jalen Brunson ($8.4k DraftKings and $8.8k Fanduel)
Our floor general tonight will be the Knick’s Jalen Brunson, who is coming off last night’s monster 66.2 fantasy output. Brunson’s usage rate makes him a true floor general, both in reality and fantasy. He is the overall PG3 and in his last three games is at 38 minutes per and 52.46 fantasy points. On the season, he is 41.48 points a game and gets the green light matchup tonight against the Raptors who are yielding the sixth most fantasy points to point guards. We only hope we are not a game late, but Brunson has hit the 60-point fantasy mark in two of his last three contests.
Terry Rozier ($4.6k DraftKings and $5.1k Fanduel)
At the two-guard spot, we can pay down for Terry Rozier this evening and save to be able to pay up elsewhere. Rozier, on the season, is at just 22,87 fantasy points per game, but in the last two games, he is at 33.6. Tonight, Rozier lines up against the Bulls, who allow the third most fantasy points a game to shooting guards. At his recent pace, Rozier will pay nearly 7x his DFS salary. During this stretch, he has seen his minutes usage increase to 32.5 per game. Rozier represents a tremendous value for us tonight.
Substitution Options: Darius Garland, Andrew Nembhard, Josh Giddey, Ty Jerome
DFS Forwards
Kelly Oubre ($6.7k DraftKings and $7.4k Fanduel)
Kelly Oubre gets the starting nod for the Coach tonight at the small forward position. Oubre is dual-position eligible and lines up against the 76ers, who allow the ninth most fantasy points per game to small forwards. Oubre has picked up of late, averaging 41.38 fantasy points per game, well above his season mark of 29.44. To put that in perspective, that would be the current overall SF3 just behind Tatum and James. Oubre comes with roster flexibility, giving you the option to roster him at the shooting guard spot.
Jayson Tatum ($9.8k DraftKings and $10.1k Fanduel)
We now have the salary flexibility to spend up at the power-forward sport for an elite talent like Jayson Tatum. He is the overall SF1 but is roster-eligible as a four-man. Tatum is at 48.26 points per game and just topped the 60-point fantasy mark on Sunday versus the 76ers. In his last two games, he has upped that mark to 55.05 and the Boston-Cleveland game tonight features the slate’s highest implied game total of 238 points. Tatum gets a definite green light versus the Cavalier’s defense ranked just 21st in points allowed to the position.
Substitution Options: Jaylen Brown, Pascal Siakam, Scottie Barnes, Deni Avdija. Mikal Bridges
DFS Center
Nikola Vucevic ($8.2k DraftKings and $8.3k Fanduel)
The man in the middle tonight for us will be Nikola Vucevic. He has been as steady as they come of late, averaging 43.14 fantasy points in his last five games and topping the 50-point mark in two of those. His game tonight features a decent implied game total of 227, and he has a green light against the Miami Heat, who allow the 11th most points to the center spot. Vucevic comes off a triple-double versus the Pistons Sunday and has been rock solid on the glass, pulling down 11.2 a game in his last five contests. He is a value for us at his DFS price tag, considering he is the fantasy overall C4.
Substitution Options: Ivica Zubac, Steven Adams, Kristaps Porzingis

Final Thoughts
As we stated earlier, we are trying to find player options projected for low ownership and value. Pay attention to implied game totals and try to get pieces of those games within your lineup construction. The top DFS builds will consist of the right balance between studs and value players that pay 2x-5x their DFS salaries. Good luck with your DFS builds and please like and follow us on social media. Please always double-check our recommendations and your roster builds once line-ups are finalized for late inactives.
