Here are some pitchers that need to be starting in the lineup for Tuesday night.
Eduardo Rodriguez, ARZ ($8.7k DraftKings and $8,000 Fanduel)
Eduardo Rodriguez will be the starting pitcher for the Diamondbacks against the Marlins on Tuesday night. Rodriguez had the best ERA 3.30, WHIP 1.15, and 143 strikeouts in 2023. The Diamondbacks activated Rodriguez after a 60-day injured list Tuesday. He won in his debut he had six strikeouts, a 5.05 ERA against the Rockies.
Rodriguez, this year has had 24 FTPS and averages 11.9 FTPS a game. He will now play against the Marlins in his third game as a starter. The Marlins as a team have a batting average of .237.
Zack Wheeler, PHI ($9.3K DraftKings and $10.5K Fanduel)
Zack Wheeler will be the starting pitcher for the Phillies against the Braves Tuesday night. Wheeler has been having a great season he’s 12-5 with an ERA of 2.75, WHIP of 0.98, and 162 strikeouts. Wheeler has been the leading pitcher for the Philly.
Zack is averaging 441 fantasy points this season and averaging 18.4 FTPS a game. Wheeler is 4-2 (away) and ERAA 3.12 (Away) with 69 strikeouts (away).
Luis Gill, NYY ($9,000 DraftKings and $9.6k Fanduel)
Luis Gill will be the starting pitcher for the Yankees playing against the Guardians on Tuesday night. Luis is 12-6, ERA 3.25, WHIP 1.15 and 141 strikeouts. Gill is 6-3 at home, ERA of 2.90 (home) and 80 strikeouts (home).
Luis Gill is 97% rostered and 84% starts in DFS fantasy. Gill has 325.5 FTPS and averaging 14.2 FTPS a game. Luis is great at home and definitely worth starting in the starting lineup in DFS.
Pitchers Must Sit August 20th
On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.
Austin Gomber, COL ($6.7k DraftKings and $6.9k Fanduel)
Austin Gomber is worth sitting out for this matchup against the Nationals. The Rockies have had a rough season this year. Pitching has been a problem and with the Nationals at home for this game, it does not favor the Rockies with the odds at 37.9% of winning.
Gomber is 3-8 in his starts with a 4.82 ERA, WHIP 1.31 and 89 strikeouts. Gomber has 193.5 FTPS this season, averaging 8.4 FTPS a game.
Frankie Montas, MIL ($7,000 DraftKings and $7,000
Fanduel)
Frankie Montas will start against the St. Louis Cardinals but it is best to have him sit out this matchup. Montas is 5-8, ERA 4.86, WHIP 1.46 with 86 strikeouts.
Despite, having a winning record away 4-3, his ERA is 5.55 (away) and 54 strikeouts (away). His fantasy points for the year are 163 FTPS and 7.4 FTPS averaging a game.
Dean Kremer, BAL ($7.3k DraftKings and $8.2k Fanduel)
Dean Kremer is the starting pitcher for the Orioles against the New York Mets on Tuesday night. Kremer is 5-9, ERA 4.48, WHIP 1.28 and 84 strikeouts.
It is best to sit Kremer in this matchup against the Mets. Kremer has 155 FTPS for the year and is averaging 9.1 FTPS a game.
Sleeper of the Day/Week
Edward Cabrera, MIA ($7.2k DraftKings and $7.6k Fanduel)
Edward Cabrera is my sleeper pitcher. He is starting on Tuesday against the Diamondbacks. Despite the Marlins being underdogs in this matchup against the Diamondbacks, Cabrera has 38 strikeouts at home and an ERA of 4.11 (home).

For the pitchers for Tuesday night, the pitchers that make the most sense to start are Yankees Pitcher Luis Gill and Philadelphia pitcher Zack Wheeler. Both of these pitchers have the highest fantasy points this season and averaging the most fantasy points a game. These pitchers are worth the pick to win and they are the most rostered on DFS MLB fantasy teams.
