Back to work as we begin a new week, with a Monday edition of our MLB parlay. Yesterday was a down day, losing two of three selections. That brings our seasonal total to 14-16 ATS.
All our followers know we target games that are seeing respected money or those where Vegas books have a heavy liability. In other words, the betting outcome that Vegas books need to profit on the day. We have another three selections on tap for you today. The betting lines discussed are the consensus at Vegas Insider and are subject to change.
Parlay Leg #1: Los Angeles Angels ML +124
Leading today’s MLB parlay will be the Los Angeles Angels over the Boston Red Sox. The Sharps are all over the Angels tonight, and despite Boston seeing 61% of the money wagers, the Angels’ line keeps coming down. They opened up at +155 and now sit at +124 at the FanDuel Sportsbooks. L.A. 8-2 SU in their last 10 games on the road and 6-4 SU in the last 10 versus the Red Sox. We will play will follow this reverse line movement and take the Angels on the moneyline for play number one!
Parlay Leg #2: Detroit Tigers Team Total over 4.5 -132
In the middle of our parlay lineup will be the Detroit Tigers team total over 4.5 runs. The Tigers enter today as the biggest chalk on the MLB betting card. MLB’s top team will square off tonight against the 18-41 Chicago White Sox. The Tigers are averaging just a tad under five runs per game this season. In addition, White Sox starter Jonathan Cannon brings a 7.06 ERA over his last two starts. Chicago has also allowed at least five runs in four of their last six home games. We expect more of the same tonight. Detroit Tigers team total over 4.5 for play number two!
Parlay Leg #3: New York Mets ML +134
The anchor leg of today’s MLB parlay will be the New York Mets over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Mets are the second play for us today that is seeing respected money being wagered on them. New York, despite getting just 51% of the money bets, has the line drop in their direction. The Mets opened up at +162 and have since fallen to +134. New York has three straight, four of five, and is 8-2 SU in their last 10. On the other side, the Dodgers are just 4-6 SU in the last 10 as a favorite. New York Mets moneyline for play number three.
Final Thoughts
The beauty of our parlays is that we can provide our readers with three individual plays. We will play these picks SU because the hit rate on a three-team parlay is about 6-1, not a long-term profitable betting strategy. Nailing the parlay is simply icing on the cake. We avoid public plays, which tend to be the betting favorites. Please follow us on social media as the MLB season continues toward the Fall Classic. Let’s get back on the winning side tonight and get three winners, and remember: Follow or Fade!
